@rhahnVIE_twitter ... I did not try it further, we run it from a docker-conainer ... If you want to, you can create an account here:
https://liamd.informatik.tu-freiberg.de
The other solution would be the online-editor at:
https://liascript.github.io/LiveEditor/
This is practically a browser-based re-implementation, that only looks similar to CodiMD or HedgeDoc ... It runs entirely within the browser, your courses will be stored also only on your browser. But it is possible to collaborate with other, if both or all three are online, by sharing the unique URL. If you want to edit some of the examples, or other documents, you will have to fork them at first (click on the fork-button) and you will start with a new private document. The only thing to remember is, that you will have to compile your document manually, either via the compile-button or by hitting Ctrl-S within the editor ...
It is still a bit experimental and we will change the UI, but we won't touch the data-structures. Exporting to GitHub-Gist should also be possible ...
@zeroecho ... Hi John. I think, what is possible, is that you can use the exporter to export a LiaScript/Markdown course to SCORM, this is a file-format that can be uploaded to multiple LMS. LiaScript is a text-based description of a course, that is based on Markdown. These courses can then be stored everywhere, we prefer GitHub, but it could also be your Dropbox, Gitlab, IPFS, or any other webspace. Simply exporting or transpiling your courses to LiaScript will probably not work. However, if you need some help, I could assist you to crawl your couses.
But, if you need help, maybe I could assist you to download the content? I find wget or curl as commandline-tools very useful, with which you can download entire websites and so probably your course (at least all HTML content, images, videos, CSS, etc.) ... so that you could at least backup you content... I found a Firefox-plugin, which does something similar. If you can access your site, probably you can also download the content via:
