Thanks for the answer, but where are the binaries?

    Compiled like this:

    mkdir build
    cd build
    cmake ..
    cmake --build.

hi guys, am new here. Looking for server examples to compress complete display in the "libvncserver/examples/". Found one example, which is closer to what I am looking for in "androidvncserver.c". Wondering if there is any server example available for ubuntu desktop use-case or should I write a new one? Thank you in advance.

Hi @bk138 . Is this already valid? https://github.com/LibVNC/libvncserver/issues/433#issuecomment-652043076 So, LibVncServer for Android works only on rooted devices?

The library works on non-rooted devices if it's properly wired up.

i would love to integrate the very good working client in a commercial application but i don't know if there is closed commercial usage allowed with the Lizenz - or is there maybe some sort of Dual Lizenz available? Sorry for this silly question but reading all the GPL,GPLv2,GPLv3 stuff does not make it clear to me what the usage constraints are

May libvncserver be compiled on windows 10?

    Hi all,

This is not exactly about LibVNCServer/LibVNCClient, but about its sibling project x11vnc:

As I am spending most of my time on other open source and business projects and
(presumably) the other LibVNC members don't have time for x11vnc either (and
its original author Karl went MIA), I declare LibVNC is looking for a new
maintainer or co-maintainer for x11vnc's community version at
    https://github.com/LibVNC/x11vnc

This post is mainly for publicising LibVNC/x11vnc#186

    • so please leave your comments there :-)

    Christian Beier
    @bk138
@constatinus yeah, there is support for tightVNC-1.3 file transfer and UltraVNC-style file transfer as well
