To get that molded effect, I took out the battery cap, coated the threads with a light coat of petroleum jelly, put it back in, then molded the Sugru onto it. That allows you to get the right shape without having the Sugru bond to the cap. You could do the same thing with a reservoir.
Teflon tape would work also.
Maybe harder to get the tape to push down into the threads if you’re pushing something soft against it though.
Hi, I need some help, can you give me the link to the newest dev loop irc, watch, please
And if you want to stay informed of things, you can now sign up for Tidepool Loop updates here: tidepool.org/loop

@Kdisimone it brings real tears of joy to see this happen. Hope you and the new @Tidepool Loop team have a great week at DMine.. Thank you so much.
Fantastic news, thanks and congrats to @Kdisimone , @ps2, @HowardLook and the entire Tidepool team!
One of the objectives of FDA is to make sure devices do no harm. How would that requirement fit with having a device not physically attached to your body, like the iphone? There may be situtations were the phone is out of range. I know that the pump will fallback to its pre-defined basals ofcourse.
Hi, can you give me the link to download loop irc, watch, please
@drmartinezs there isn’t an official branch with those things merged together. The IRC and watch features are still awaiting merge into dev branch separately. Most of us have merged them ourselves. You can look in the Loop’s github for PRs and find where the branches are for each of those.
Oh, ok , thanks Katie. Where can I learn how to merge ?
out of curiosity, do most people still fall pretty close to the old "rule of 1800" for ISF, where you take 1800 divided by total insulin for the day (1800/TDD)? Do your actual ISFs come close to that general rule?
My total insulin needs vary between 60-110 units per day, so Hard to say
Same with me. I found that 1800 (or 100 for mmol) rule to be too “light” for me on Loop. As mentioned before I was 1.7 with around 55 units per day which was bang in pre loop. After loop I am now 2.5 mmol to be correct which would equal only 40 units a day. I am anywhere from 60-100 units now.
So I don’t think that formula works well but again is all depending on a lot of variables
When I started Looping 2 months ago I knew all my ratios (including ISF) were off, so I used 1800 rule as a starting point. But then, for two months I’ve been testing, testing, testing and got to the conclusion that my ISF varies throughout the day (being less sensitive for first few hours in the morning, presumingly when hormons kick in after wake up). If I consider my average TDD from last week of 45, my ISF would be 40 but my current ISF settings vary from 42 in the morning to 53 at night (averaging at 49) - and I think they are still too low, just that ISF testing is so hard…
Thanks for sharing. I am testing everything from the beginning as I am noticing all my settings are probably off coming from non looping.
I wonder if anyone else is seeing the same double-counting of IOB right after a meal bolus that I've been seeing lately: #845

I’ve been having problems with dev last couple of weeks. in general everything is really slow about 25% of the time. Switch to the app and takes 30 seconds to do anything (sometimes blank screen, sometimes out of date screen, sometimes graphs UI all screwy). Also when i enter carbs about 25% of the time it takes upwards of 1 minute to show up in the display and sometimes does not fire up the bolus window until 30 seconds later.
anyone else having issues? not sure if it is dev related or healthkit related
(iPhone X iOS 12.1
@CrushingT1D_twitter I haven’t seen that. A while back, before iOS 12, I had big lag problems, but haven’t lately.
@elnjensen I’ve seen the same IOB double-counting. Caught a glimpse of it tonight but forgot to capture an issue report.
Moved from loop 1.5 to 1.9.3 last night. Stuck on gray loop. Bgs not coming through. I've tried the troubleshooting steps in the loop docs several times with no change. I tried rebuilding from scratch this morning and still no green loop. Any thoughts?
@xrinaudo have you added the share credentials and BGs still aren’t coming though, even from the cloud? And how long has it been gray?
Yes share credentials are in. Verified against bridge credentials in nights out. Still no bgs. Gray since the switch last night around 8pm.
@elnjensen@mpangburn Yes, if you see that, an issue report could really help.
Would it help if i posted an issue report? I'm almost certain it's something silly that a second pair of eyes will probably catch.

@xrinaudo you can also test the rest of loop setup by adding a BG in HealthKit directly. I would also verify your G5/6 Transmitter ID.
@xrinaudo did you delete your old app? Have you rebooted phone?
I deleted the old app. Haven't rebooted the phone. Will try that now.
Fixed it. I forgot to enable healthkit access on the new loop app. Thank you all. This community is great.
@ps2 I linked to two issue reports in #845. Let me know if you need more info, e.g. if more would help if I see it again.

Does the issue report link in Loop contain crash reports? Or what is the best way to log crashes with Loop? I’ve typically included crashlytics etc. Loop has been crashing quite a lot for me so would like to sort out where and submit an issue or help fix it
