@xrinaudo
Would it help if i posted an issue report? I'm almost certain it's something silly that a second pair of eyes will probably catch.
Jeremy M Lucas (GetRileyLink.org)
@jlucasvt
@xrinaudo you can also test the rest of loop setup by adding a BG in HealthKit directly. I would also verify your G5/6 Transmitter ID.
katie disimone
@Kdisimone
@xrinaudo did you delete your old app? Have you rebooted phone?
xrinaudo
@xrinaudo
I deleted the old app. Haven't rebooted the phone. Will try that now.
Fixed it. I forgot to enable healthkit access on the new loop app. Thank you all. This community is great.

@ps2 I linked to two issue reports in #845. Let me know if you need more info, e.g. if more would help if I see it again.

Does the issue report link in Loop contain crash reports? Or what is the best way to log crashes with Loop? I’ve typically included crashlytics etc. Loop has been crashing quite a lot for me so would like to sort out where and submit an issue or help fix it
jeremybarnum
@jeremybarnum
Based on what Pete asked for in #587 it’s the symbolicated crash log. He included this link https://developer.apple.com/library/archive/technotes/tn2151/_index.html#//apple_ref/doc/uid/DTS40008184-CH1-SYMBOLICATION-BITCODE

i dont see the reference to that in the issue you linked to

thanks. yea, this must be the manual way to do it.
maybe amplitude can do it

@rsilvers129 definitely going to download that version. I am still using your Siri shortcut and love it.

@/all To better support searching and organizing discussions around Loop and RileyLink, the Gitter channels for these will be moving to Zulip. In addition to great thread support, Zulip allows attaching images from mobile clients, full markdown support, open registration, search, and free hosting for open source projects. https://loop.zulipchat.com

can someone help me with correction range? I am assuming I would just set mine to something like 90-110
correction range is just the upper and lover limits for correction correct?

Yes

thank you and also thank you for the post you put on facebook about how to get loop working properly with spike. I removed the extra s from https today and everything seems to be working very well ... Thanks again
going camping Friday - Sunday so I need offline mode
also flying in a week will need it there also

Hi all. I'm trying to reinstall my app and keep getting this message:" A valid provisioning profile for this executable was not found." It appears after the "Build succeed" message. Could somebody please help me? Thank you

Hey guys! when ive been trying to build —> it seems to be getting stuck 2)Building Loop: Cartfile | Building 16 of 256 tasks. ( is this normal? …should i just keep waiting ??) ---
Weird: changed “Project Format” to X-Code 10.0 compatible, and it started making progress….

Anyone have issues with the riley link battery getting really hot? I was sitting today and my riley link was burning my leg and i took it out and took it apart but not sure if it will happen again? Any ideas?
Dragan Maksimovic
@dm61
@rreed454 Please note that Loop forum has been moved to https://loop.zulipchat.com, it's better to post your issues and questions there. I've seen a few reports of new RL's getting hot. At this point it is unclear what the root cause may be. If you do not see any physical damage on the battery, turn RL off, let everything cool down completely, then recharge RL, and give it another try. If there is any physical damage on the battery, stop using it, get replacement.

Any ideas what might be causing this. Loop just seemed to spontaneously break.

I am using my original RL from 1.5 yrs ago. I am getting lots of "RileyLinkTimeout" messages. I can usually get it to come back on but it has persisted for 12 hrs. Also, I am seeing both the green and the blue lights through the case. I don't remember seeing a steady blue light before. Does this indicate something is wrong with RL?
Pete Schwamb
@ps2
@kvirmani1_twitter have you turned the RL off and on? Also, loop and RL discussion has been moved to https://loop.zulipchat.com.
Kathleen Virmani
@kvirmani1_twitter
@ps2 Spare RL is up and running thanks to Joe M helping me on the phone at 4am. I had done everything in loopdocs to "fix" old one and no luck. Blue light as well as green was staying on steady. I don't think I had seen through the case blue on steady before. Is that a sign somehting is wrong? For a long time the RLTimeOut has been coming on. I keep printed list of what to do on fridge.
Am now connected with zulipchat.

Hi- building loop on my new phone iphone xs Max. when i plug in the phone it says "Jessica's iphone does not support any of Cartfile's architecture. You can add Jessica's iphone's arm64e architecture to Cartfile's architecture build setting" Any idea what this means?
ok realized i didn't update xcode. Doing that now

Just an FYI... I'm running Katie's loop build... I noticed sometimes when it's in Open loop, my pump still adjusts my basals as if it's in closed loop. Not sure why
katie disimone
@Kdisimone
What makes you think it is adjusting in open loop? (And discussions have been moved to zulipchat...please see posts above for the link for where discussions are happening now)

Have been testing out Spike App (latest version). Its pretty nice, lotssss of settings & options. & lots of color choices for everything imaginable... But, when using Spike to interpret CGM sensor data and display results…. Its obvious, when comparing the RAW data to the “adjusted” points that whatever algorithm was used for this is not nearlyyyy advanced as dexcom’s 505 &/ or whatever variation they are using in the G6… MARD on G6 is 9%, before “505” software update (introduced first in the G4Platinum). Dexcoms G4 Platinum MARD was 14%… then the new software update & ::SHWINGGG!!:: Single Digit Time! —> 9%. [for reference G5 MARD was 9% also, but req’d calibrations. G6 is 9% with NO calibrations, so its obviously been modified in some respects, but i assume they are just continuing to build/tweak their “505” code base. There is some indications in the patent filings about the types of formulas used by Dexcom, Medtronic, & …Abbott? {+ when dex was asked about “who presents the most significant competition now & in the near future, in terms of advanced tech, R&D ~ & they said Abbott. (I think it was Abbott). But - they really arent seemingly worried about Medtronic, like at all!! (which was suprising considering their large market share & considerable potential resources. Butttt…. also not so surprising when considering how bassackwards they do things much of the time. + Once Medtronic had significant mkt share & mkt dominance, they kinda lose the need and desire to push harder @ making Big leaps & advancements, and can focus more on just customer retention stuff, and use their size, position, economy of scale to incentivize DR’s and Insurance Co.’s to maintain status quo. Not hating on Medtronic, there just are some realities that have to be acknowledged about the nature of their day-to-day operations, and their operating theory and perspective in general. Anywho - Anyone know anything about Spike App’s algorithms? —> @kdisimone - Youve been a big proponent of Spike, right? How does your accuracy compare to using the Dex App? Any suggestions for getting the best accuracy? What % of readings are you receiving? (im only getting appx: 80%) but i was using it in the roundabout way: spike data to —> nightscout or Share Acct, & Loop grabs reading from NS / or Share? not sure.. do u know? Too, when Loop cant get BG's from DexG6 App (cuz its off … so i always see the lil cloud icon next to my BG in Loop. ) it pulls from the cloud (im assuming from NS.) *Even when using G6 sensors&transmitters with Spike you do still have to calibrate, at least initially right? Do u know how to get the best accuracy - in terms of how often and how many calibrations are best? If i knew the algo used, i could likely extrapolate the best practices to use to get best accuracy / MARD %’s… found lots of scholarly articles about CGM algorithms, accuracy stats, variables that effect accuracy and reliability and statistically best calibration practices, etc.. —> Thank you Google!
katie disimone
@Kdisimone
@chadharper0131 I don’t use Spike (well, I use it sometimes for transmitter resets) Only used it for testing and to able to understand it enough to help troubleshoot for others. We still prefer staying on the dexcom app.
