    Hey, thanks for giving me the link to this! This is pretty basic js from your experience.
    I'm trying to create a tic tac toe game in just js, that uses this html which we can't change in the html.
    <table border="1" cellpadding="5">
    <tbody>
    <tr>
    <td id="cell1">-</td>
    <td id="cell2">-</td>
    <td id="cell3">-</td>
    </tr>
    <tr>
    <td id="cell4">-</td>
    <td id="cell5">-</td>
    <td id="cell6">-</td>
    </tr>
    <tr>
    <td id="cell7">-</td>
    <td id="cell8">-</td>
    <td id="cell9">-</td>
    </tr>
    </tbody>
    </table>

    Let me just check it out
    That's exactly it!
    Thank you
    Where are you declaring the function test?
    Felix De Montis
    @dervondenbergen
    on line 37
    you could do even more like show a nicer message instead of the alert if someone wins or a replay button or display a message if someone has a tie, this is just the code to make it very basic
    Jess(ica) Wallace
    @JessWallace94
    That's great though. Definitely helps. Think I just need to go through the js and understand what it's donr
    Felix De Montis
    @dervondenbergen
    if you need help you could just ask here or somewhere else
    I'm from @LukyVj devgroup @bullgit, at https://gitter.im/bullgit/chat are also other people from bullgit which can always help you if needed

    @dervondenbergen
    I don't know your level of javascript knowledge so i commented everything as good as possible
    @JessWallace94
    Jess(ica) Wallace
    @JessWallace94
    No that's great, really explains things for me!
    It's very basic, I'm better with HTML and CSS. But looking to get skilled with JS
    Lucas Bonomi
    @LukyVj
    Well, thank you felix :) I would have done it in jquery anyway :D
    Tim Pietrusky
    @TimPietrusky
    awesome @dervondenbergen !

    @JessWallace94
    Thanks though guys. Obviously my js knowledge isn't great yet, but could you explain the libraries a bit more? How exactly they work (basics) not on a library basis obviously
    Kaushalya R. Mandaliya
    @krman009
    You mean jquery? @JessWallace94
    Lucas Bonomi
    @LukyVj

    Hey @JessWallace94
    You want to learn Vanilla javascript basics ?

    My best advice is : Spend some time browsing codepen and github, try it yourself

    Also, buying a good book about the subject helps :)
    ^-- A good one
    Jess(ica) Wallace
    @JessWallace94
    I've got a couple of good js books
    I guess I find it harder to grab the concepts
    Is that the best library to start with
    Lucas Bonomi
    @LukyVj
    IMO, the best library is jQuery, at least for me, it respond to anything I wanna do
    But Vanilla js is always the better choice http://vanilla-js.com/
    ( Vanilla JS is just basic "JS" )
    Felix De Montis
    @dervondenbergen
    I would recommend you to start learning as much "vanilla js" as possible before learning some library because all the libraries basically are based on vanilla js. I think this is the best way to learn js because you already know what a function in a library actually does
    Lucas Bonomi
    @LukyVj
    +1 This guy is pure wisdom
    Felix De Montis
    @dervondenbergen
    thanks luky :D

    @LukyVj
