It is the first time I developed something using xcode or objectiveC, so the code is ugly, but it seems to work

@talkingtab
I was going to look at issue #757 "open window in new tab option". Is someone working on it already? Does anyone have any hints, suggestions etc?

@stemberamichal
Hey guys, new to Open Source. Can someone explain me what is needed from me when I tested an issue: MacDownApp/macdown#940
Should I close it? I don't think I know enough to do the necessary review.

hey I have a question about the initial document that loads when you install MacDown. Is there a way to get it back after you have closed it?

I see a Plugins menu – is this feature done and if so, somewhere I can read about it?

@skyfriends
Is there a plugin available that can share across multiple users of MacDown?
Franklin Yu
@FranklinYu
@stuartcarnie The Plugin API is done, but it is not yet documented. I guess it’s in beta. If you want to develop one, see https://github.com/MacDownApp/macdown-gistit.
Franklin Yu
@FranklinYu
@daocoindao Source code for that please? I don’t seem to be able to reproduce the issue.

I'm new to MacDown and still learning the ropes. So far everything seems awesome! One question I had was about list items where the text was long enough to spill onto a second line (or longer). At present, it seems that the editor pane simply left-justifies the subsequent lines of text. It would be ideal for my purposes if the editor maintained the indentation of the present list level. Maybe this feature already exists and I couldn't find it? I'll add a screen shot to illustrate.

Just installed MacDown on a new iMac with High Sierra. Text substitutions that I have defined in the system (via Keyboard pref pane) are not working at all. They seem fine elsewhere. Thoughts?
Nathanael Smith
@ndsmith
@Jmuccigr It seems that this page is no longer checked by anyone working on the MacDown project. I think I'm going to post my question as an issue on the MacDown GitHub repo here: https://github.com/MacDownApp/macdown/issues That is the suggestion for getting help listed in the FAQ at the MacDown site (https://macdown.uranusjr.com/faq/#question) Best of luck!

@Jmuccigr
@ndsmith I much prefer GitHub anyway. :-)

@briantully
@here are there additional steps to build MacDown that aren't in the README?
for example, i don't appear to have any git submodules installed

@briantully
does it require a specific version of ruby to get bundler to work?
.rvm/rubies/ruby-2.5.1/lib/ruby/2.5.0/rubygems.rb:289:in `find_spec_for_exe': can't find gem bundler (>= 0.a) with executable bundle (Gem::GemNotFoundException)

What does this mean? Did you follow https://github.com/MacDownApp/macdown#environment-setup ?

@legoming
Is there any possible to introduce live preview feature for macdown?
Andre-John Mas
@ajmas
Not sure what you mean? The right pane is a preview.
Jet CHEN
@legoming
Sorry I didn’t make a clear description
I mean there’s no dedicated preview panel ,you just write and return,then
What inputed will show as formated
Franklin Yu
@FranklinYu
@legoming You are probably looking for Mart Text: https://marktext.app/
Jet CHEN
@legoming
@FranklinYu yes, just something like this. I really like macdown which is the first markdown I used on Mac, I'm using it almost everyday. But I met some issues during latest use: 1) I need focus too much on both edit panel and preview panel; 2) scroll between edit and preview cannot be synced after I inserting many source codes and images.
Jet CHEN
@legoming
Can preview panel just scroll to where we're editing?
Franklin Yu
@FranklinYu
@legoming Preview panel is supposed to sync when editor panel is scrolled. Nevertheless, synchronization is one of the main technical difficulties.

HI, Will release a build based on 10.15?

@SSteve
I updated to 0.72 and the preview panel flickers as I type in the editor. Went back to 0.71 and the flicker went away. Has anyone else seen this behavior?

@SSteve Yup, it's reported here: MacDownApp/macdown#1104

Ok. I'll be keeping an eye on that issue.

Hi, I just installed MacDown 0.7.1 via Homebrew last weekend. Great app, I love it! Then I got the update to 0.7.2 via HomeBrew and macOS (Catalina) complains about a "damaged" MacDown :-/ I downloaded all 0.7.2 versions via GitHub and could not start any 0.7.2-Snapshot. I tried to build it myself via XCode (from master) and it started. Does anybody have problems starting the latest Release 0.7.2 or is it my MacBook? A colleague could not start it (0.7.2) either :( Do you have any suggestions?
Patrick Hackbarth
@hacktrick
Ah, I just saw issue MacDownApp/macdown#1106 on github. I keep an eye on it. Downloading via wget works around the qarantine flag...

Hey, is there any guide about how to merge mermaid into MacDown? I want to try introduce latest mermaid in app.
Nicholas De Young
@abased
i have the same question @legoming , how do you do graphs in macdown
Jet CHEN
@legoming
It's great to draw chart/flow with mermaid or graphviz in MacDown, but there's some annoying issue in mermaid's old version. @abased . I just find @Gowa2017 is working on issue #1126
