@Makuna you know what would be nice. A wiki page on how adafruits stuff converts to yours and how to handle arguments. Lets go into a bit more detail please, how does adafruits strip.setPixelColor(i, 0, 0, 0); convert to yours strip.SetPixelColor which i believe takes just two arguments right? Also in Faq6 i found this wheel function but dunno how it ties with this one in the amplitie sketch.

Also that neopixelmeter stuff would you have that in your lib. Would be good for iot gauges prolly :)

I will look into creating a conversion page.

ANNOUNCEMENT: It seems the DMA method was broken by the last Esp8266 SDK. For some reason my bits didn't update when I moved to the latest Esp8266/Arduino; I forced cleaned up my environment and now I am seeing what others like @3DSasha was seeing. I am working on looking for a solution, but for now there are two possible work arounds. One, Increase the count of pixels passed into the contructor of neopixel by 50, but still only work with the original count. OR Two, use the Uart method.
Increasing the count doesn't always work though.

So o have to look which version of esp framework i use in arduino ide?
And if its sufficiently old its ok?

But you will have other broken things outside of NeoPixels. They seem to fix 80% of known issues and add another 20% of new issues with every release.

Well so far i need it just for neopixels so gonna finish this project so its completely operational on the older one :)

My suggestion is work around the issue for now, I am investigating a fix.
Yeah, if you aren't broken, don't change anything.

@Makuna "cannot convert 'RgbColor' to 'uint8_t {aka unsigned char}' in return"
how do i fix this
return RgbColor(Wheelnew 3, 255 - Wheelnew 3, 0); :D
should i just remove the returns
:D
if i remove them sketch compiles
but dunno if the logic is sound :D
can i give you some sketches or to some other coding master to look if everything looks legit :D
they all compile but I dunno if everything is correct :D
or should I like first test, but for that I need to wait for the hardware :D
