    Can you do a docker inspect $containername | grep data
    vcaldo

    Looks like you'r enot mounting your volume.
    Can I see the command you're running it with?
    Here's mine for comparison:
    sudo docker inspect manageiq | grep data
                    "/var/data:/var/opt/rh/rh-postgresql95/lib/pgsql/data"
                    "Source": "/var/data",
                    "Destination": "/var/opt/rh/rh-postgresql95/lib/pgsql/data",
                    "/var/opt/rh/rh-postgresql95/lib/pgsql/data": {}
    vcaldo
    @vcaldo
    sorry, I was inspecting another vm
                "/var/opt/rh/rh-postgresql95/lib/pgsql/data:/data/dockervolumes01/manageiq/pg"

                "/var/opt/rh/rh-postgresql95/lib/pgsql/data": {}
    and the docker run cmd
    docker run --name manageiq --privileged -d -p 8443:443 -v /var/opt/rh/rh-postgresql95/lib/pgsql/data:/data/dockervolumes01/manageiq/pg manageiq/manageiq:gaprindashvili-3

    You need to switch the order of your volume.
    That's the root of your issue.
    localmount:containerpath
    vcaldo
    @vcaldo
    :worried:
    rh-dluong
    @rh-dluong
    You have containerpath:localmount
    vcaldo
    @vcaldo
    sorry, newbie error

    No problemo, happens to the best of us

    Do I need any special permissions?

    The default text search configuration will be set to "english".

    Data page checksums are disabled.

    Random k8s tip:
    you know how it's annoying to use oc logs because full pod name includes random suffix (oc logs pod/messaging-service-5b85498bc6-l6nsq) so you can't reuse it from shell history?
    Turns out you can use parent replicaset or event grandparent deployment! oc logs rs/messaging-service-5b85498bc6, oc logs deploy/messaging-service! (probably same for rc/, dc/ but untested)

    hello folks,

    I was having trouble starting my container after stopping it.
    I added the following code:

      su postgres -c "pg_ctl -D ${APPLIANCE_PG_DATA} start"
      test $? -ne 0 && echo "!! Failed to start postgresql service" && exit 1
        sleep 30
      pidof memcached
      test $? -ne 0 && /usr/bin/memcached -u memcached -p 11211 -m 64 -c 1024 -l 127.0.0.1 -d

    in the files:
    /usr/bin/appliance-initialize.sh
    /var/www/miq/vmdb/docker-assets/appliance-initialize.sh

    between lines 19 and 20.

    and it was ok, I was able to start it after stopping it.
    Now my server has just crashed, I have already made some changes, and I can not start my container any more, among several messages that the log has these here:

    {"@timestamp":"2018-12-13T20:30:24.627572 ","hostname":"65d96f96dfac","pid":8,"tid":"f1d114","level":"warning","message":"EVM is already running (PID=8)"}

    Error something seems wrong, we need at least two parameters to check service status
    == Checking MIQ database status ==
    ** DB already initialized
    pg_ctl: another server might be running; trying to start server anyway
    server starting
    LOG: could not bind IPv6 socket: Cannot assign requested address

    LOG: redirecting log output to logging collector process
    HINT: Future log output will appear in directory "pg_log".
    Someone knows what might be happening, and how do I get my container back?

    Hello
    I'm trying to use manageIQ to redirect traffic on a VM running vmware to a replica that will run in openstack
    a kind of cloudbursting
    the redirection of the workflow will be done according to conditions for example when using the memory exceeds 80%
    for that i installed mangeIQ then i added vCenter as infrastructure provider then i added openstack as cloud provider and i'm stuck there
    can you give me ideas that can help me finish my work?
    1- Is my approach correct?
    2- what is the second step

    Anyone know if the container image count report works?
    the sql for it is pretty bad. and locally it is hanging.
    not sure if there was an issue introduced to core, or if there is a known problem with the report

    We are running cloudforms in a Pod , and is runs in debug loglevel. How can we set the loglevel for that pod to level error or warn ?
    Brandon Dunne
    @bdunne
    The container logger is hard-coded to debug level here
