anyone play with murus? it is a mac client for pf (packet filter - low level tcp layer)
Exploring with introducing latency and bandwidth constraints for my connections

@kbrock I test with an appliance so tc is my friend

What kind of latency/bandwidth constraint will a customer typically have? 100ms? 1Mbit/second?

@kbrock I've used the ipfw mentioned on the comcast README: https://github.com/tylertreat/Comcast
sudo ipfw add 1 pipe 1 ip from me to 127.0.0.1
sudo ipfw pipe 1 config delay 35ms bw 40000Kbit/s plr 0.0002
sudo ipfw delete 1

nice, and that is on loopback to boot. thanks @jrafanie

just make sure it does the right thing using ping and trying to download things at the "throttled" speed to make sure it does what you expect
which options simulate typical latency / slowness aren't obvious

any opinions on backporting ManageIQ/manageiq#7114 to a previous version? The ancestry work is too invasive. the trees have changed a lot over the past year or two. This is a little daunting to me
