https://www.speedshop.co/2018/03/28/nginx-unit-for-ruby.html looks very interesting. Would be nice if ipa supported nginx. With the openshift and crystal container, not sure if this is now a possibility /via ruby weekly
Dimitre’s team has been open to nginx support if we need it for stuff like mod Mellon. Of course he’ll need some heads up if we want to go that route.

nice, I forgot github shared their rack-mini-profiler type library with the world: https://github.com/peek/peek - it asks you to modify the views. which may be a little ugly, but all other libraries do this at runtime. so this is a little better than that /via scoutapp article

yea. the only tools that have lasted are commercial, or rack-mini-profiler
the commercial have segmented - free development, paid production
wish they found a way to consolidate the collection, and let people pay for the hosted service
(consolidate the collection meaning to standardize it and not have everyone rewriting the same stuff)

I was hoping that http://www.tilde.io/skylight/ would have generalized their collection (they use rust) but they went the same route as new relic/scout/others
though, scout seems the most open
37 signals wrote their own - would be nice if they shared more tech for that - would make rails more valuable. and I don't think it would hurt their brand. not their business proposition
