@MarshallOfSound , I was in the process of building GPMDP on my machine locally following the standard build instructions. I found that I would receive errors from MSBuild on Windows about some V8 functions and class method calls not existing when I would build any version of GPMDP that used Electron 3. This error always occurred when it was compiling mdns after running either npm install or npm start. I found that I did not have this issue when building any version of GPMDP that used Electron 2. I found that upgrading the mdns package to version 2.4.0 or higher fixed the issue and allowed all versions that used Electron 3 to complete successfully. Would upgrading mdns to 2.4.0 break anything? If not, should mdns be upgraded for all new builds of GPMDP?

hi issues with loading library on snap.

@MarshallOfSound Which are the latest CI builds that I can install I'm on archlinux I can use debtap if needed for deb packages and do you update snap packages regularly?

installed both versions 4.6.1 and 4.7.0 and both have the same error that I reported with miniplayer. Also mpris control do not work on kde I mean playerctl do not even recognise gmdmp

The snap in the edge channel should work; it's updated regularly. I should probably promote what's in edge to stable so more people get the login fix, but I was waiting for a release.

Hi there, I was wondering what Versions of NodeJS people where using for Developing for this project?
I've recently upgraded to v12 to work on some newer projects, but it seems building on this version is broken for a few projects.
Installing the V6.2.2 (and is actually still lower than the required NodeJS version on the Dev FAQ page) from the powershell tool seems to still provide me with errors , although far fewer and is "somewhat" built.

Nm, figured it out. Delete the file C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Google Play Music Desktop Player\json_store.settings.json to reset desktop settings and window positions etc.

@RAOF Well the issue was strange. From some funny reason miniplayer wasn

mini player wasn't mini it was actually maximised from some reason. So the miniplayer link wasn't turining off maximise and wasn't setting geometry limits. Artwork looked stretched out. Once I resized the window to the size of mini player it become working mini. :)

Hello, the mini player is now ultra zoomed in and the standard window is ultra zoomed out (I managed to zoom this out with "ctrl -". "Ctrl +" instead didn't work. Basically, miniplayer ultra zoomed-in and windows ultra zoomed out. Is there any hotkey to reverse this? Uninstall and reinstall didn't work :-(

This happened cause of windows manager :-(. Mini player just started to get big and invaded the entire screen surface :-D

Anyone know what the google assistant commands and prefixes are for controlling GPDMP for YT music via the app?

Like, if I wanted to play a certain track or whatever

It does play/pause and skip, but it doesn't like other commands

If I ask it to 'Play [song] on gpmdp remote]' it pauses the music, says okay, and then the player just starts again, so I reckon it's sending the request to the app, and it's just pressing play

So maybe that's a thing to be implemented in future

Question for the room! I migrated over to my newer laptop, so I'm running Windows 10 now. I'm running into issues when casting from GPMDP where after every song, playback gets stuck... The play button grays out and the program hangs. If I skip to the next song, it starts up like nothing happened. Is this a known issue?

For the record, Windows 10 1909 x64

@Ezlar_gitlab regarding casting from windows 7, the solution I found didn't work, so I ended up just casting from my phone until I had the hardware I needed to use my windows 10 machine
