Flavio W. Brasil
@fwbrasil

@MasseGuillaume

just need to make sure its compatible with the Security Manager
Flavio W. Brasil
@fwbrasil
I’ll prepare a pull request then :) I thought we’d have to maintain a separate environment
Flavio W. Brasil
@fwbrasil
ok
Guillaume Massé
@MasseGuillaume
the only thing I cannot add is reflection
because this could be used to turn off security ;-)
Flavio W. Brasil
@fwbrasil
quill doesn’t use reflection. I’m not sure about h2
I’ll test it
Guillaume Massé
@MasseGuillaume
cool give it a shot locally and if everything work then you are all set :P
Flavio W. Brasil
@fwbrasil

Guillaume Massé
@MasseGuillaume
ty glad you like it
I just fixed an issue to make things more stable

@lmlynik
Great job on the project!
I want to host my own version locally with some predefined code for recruitment purposes. Trying to run as a plugin and have a problem. I don't see how to start it, kata:open-browser doesn't work.
a never mind, found aliases in the src :)
Guillaume Massé
@MasseGuillaume
:)
Flavio W. Brasil
@fwbrasil
@MasseGuillaume do you have plans to implement library/version selection as https://scalafiddle.io does?
Guillaume Massé
@MasseGuillaume
@fwbrasil I will merge with Scastie.
Guillaume Massé
@MasseGuillaume
You can read more about the new features proposed here: https://github.com/OlegYch/scastie/milestone/1
It's basically a sbt frontend. So there is a lot of power
I also showed a proof of concept with scalakata
demo
I want to link it with scaladex, so as a library author, you can link executable documentation

Getting 502 Bad Gateway (nginx) error on https://scastie.scala-lang.org

@MasseGuillaume
@loostro thanks, restarted
ioleo
@ioleo
Thanks, it's working :)
ioleo
@ioleo
@MasseGuillaume it seems its down again :( any ideas why it keeps failing?
Guillaume Massé
@MasseGuillaume
It should be ok now. It look likes the internet connection on the server drops. I will ask our sys admin.

@ioleo
I consider useing scastie for Scala training to kickstart the workshop with coding exercise, however im worried it might go down when needed most, could you update me if the issue is resolved?
Fengyuan Chen
@chenfengyuan
Is there an android version of ScalaKata2?
Guillaume Massé
@MasseGuillaume
Hey, no we don't have a android app. But it work great in the webbrowser already
Fengyuan Chen
@chenfengyuan
Ok, got it. Thanks!
Guillaume Massé
@MasseGuillaume
np
ioleo
@ioleo
@MasseGuillaume hi, do you know if the issue with internet connection on server has been resolved?
Guillaume Massé
@MasseGuillaume
@loostro it's not perfect but I think it's ok now
I think what was causing it was the lack of back pressure between the client and the server
a single while loop + println would saturate the connection :)

@FunkeMT
Still such a nice project! Thx for it!
One question:
I'm trying to run the project local—but not as a plugin for another project. I want to work with it and develop.
Well, I cloned the repository and created an IntelliJ SBT project from the sources.
But now, I'm stuck at the build and run process.
Could you explain the necessary steps?
Thank you very much!
Guillaume Massé
@MasseGuillaume

@FunkeMT
Ah, ok, got it. Thank you @MasseGuillaume!

@FunkeMT
Hi @MasseGuillaume
I'm still working with your great repo and app. May I ask if you can give me hint how I can deploy your app, e.g. to Heroku? I'm struggling with packaging as well as starting. I tried to build a big-fat JAR, but then I haven't a clue how to start the Boot process (like from the console) to verify that my JAR was built correctly. Maybe you have a spontaneous idea how to do it? Thank you!
Guillaume Massé
@MasseGuillaume
@FunkeMT you can add the sbt plugin: https://github.com/MasseGuillaume/ScalaKata2/blob/master/build.sbt#sbt-plugin then build a docker image.
