@tindzk hmm, it seems like the semantics are different between zip and flatmap(map)
Not sure which is right, but zipWith without zip behavior sounds strange. I'm suspecting it to be related to if change of just one of the input channels produce a result or not

@mkotsbak A similar function was planned for Scala: http://stackoverflow.com/a/1157684 Would you prefer zipped?
val out: ReadChannel[Int] = (ch1, ch2).zipped.map(_ + _)
I don't think this is a good solution because we'll end up with even more implicit conversions.

Does not look so bad for this case, and the type interference probably works much better
If the use case is to always map/flatmap afterwards, it gives no extra implicit issues?
