    Hi guys I have a queston. Is there anyone using Azure iot edge. Im looking for a test framework to test our moudle . As u know the module is running as a container , it make us hard to troubleshoot the issue. Do you have any idea to test that?

    Hi Team,
    How many event hub endpoints I can create in Iot Hub ?
    Any information related to this is appreciated!
    Albert
    @pospospos2007
    @kanumuru I hope to do a unit test for each container which writen in Python
    DO you have any recommand framework to provide?
    Albert
    @pospospos2007
    @kanumuru I think one eventhub endpoint is enough for any general case to use. Becasue u can define different routes in your deployment.template.json

    MxChip Az3166 OTA tutorial...does not go past checking 1.0.0 version (step 4 in the "start OTA firmware update " section - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/samples/azure-samples/mxchip-iot-devkit-firmware-ota/sample/) --- there are NO errors in Azure portal...how do I know where it's stuck? Thanks!

    Hello! A couple small details I noticed for updating:
    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/samples/azure-samples/mxchip-iot-devkit-get-started/sample/
    1) See above image for vs code complaint.
    2) Should this read "Expand the AZURE IOT HUB DEVICES pane on the left" instead of "on the right"?

    3) I think the wrong box is red-outlined in this image (see arrows)

    Tutorial was a great way to get introduced to MXChip and Iot Hub. Thanks!

    i need to set the system properties on the MXCHIP to make it work with Event Grid downstream. I could not find anywhere in the DevKitMQTTClient lib an API to do that. i see that this client wraps or reuses the iothub_device_client_ll, which can do that with IoTHubMessage_SetContentTypeSystemProperty and SetContentEncodingSystemProperty. Could someone push in the right direction here ?
    Tayo Carvalhal
    @lucarv
    it turns out one can just drop the code from client_ll into the .ino file ;) All kudos to @kartben

    Hello everyone ! I'm struggling a lot to pass the NTP time sync on the MXChip with my environment. It works on a mobile hotspot, i tried to change the ntp adresses in the code, i can't help to synchronize time on this chip... What else can i do ?

    Hi, Do we have to generate new certificate every time when ever we push new updated code to AZ3166 Dev kit to get enrolled via DPS ? If I don't generate new X509 certificate with every new code push, then i am facing '{"errorCode":401002,"trackingId":"a7fa3cd5-4368-4f6d-9f0e-4217045c9f05","message":"Invalid certificate.","timestampUtc":"2020-06-18T04:22:44.9196535Z"}, Thanks in advance for any quick help!

    Hello. I'm writing a library for the MXChip but I would like to use mbed sin function as math.h sin function is awfully slow. Do you have a sample lib that use mbed somewhere ?
    Benjamin Cabé
    @kartben
    @SatishBoddu-MSFT yes, the certificate that the MXChip presents to DPS/IoT Hub is effectively the signature of the actual binary, using the unique device secret as the key for signing. Therefore, everytime the binary code changes you will want to re-run the command line tool that can simulate the certificate that MXChip will automatically generate on the fly, and configure this cert in your DPS enrollment.
    Benjamin Cabé
    @kartben
    @nicolas-f it should be as simple as including mbed_math.h
    arm_math.h*

    @potatowave the HTTPClient class supports HTTPS. If you are interested in other kinds of TLS sockets, you can use TLSSocket directly. You can look here for an example of how to use it: https://github.com/microsoft/devkit-sdk/blob/master/AZ3166/src/cores/arduino/httpclient/https_request.cpp

    hi I am having an error: "Failed to generate platform.local.txt file. Unable to find Arduino IDE. Please install it from https://www.arduino.cc/en/main/software and use "Arduino: Board Manager" to install your device packages. Restart VS Code to apply to changes." but the Arduino IDE is installed and I have added the ardino.path to the settings file ""arduino.path": "F:\WindowsApps\ArduinoLLC.ArduinoIDE_1.8.39.0_x86..."," Does anyone know how to sort the issue?
    Logan Talbot
    @LoganDavidTalbot
    sorted installed wrong version of Arduino IDE.

    Hi, is group enrollment supported with the MXChip IoT DevKit using certificates? I found this on GitHub but it hasn't been updated to say whether it is now supported. microsoft/vscode-iot-workbench#610

    I am having issues with the MXChip DevKit and getting it connected to Wifi or connecting for configuration. I follow the steps to enter the wifi password to the device and it will quickly flash but return to the Ready to connect screen with the mac listed. If I try to connect using the screen terminal command it prints out garbage characters and doesn't provide the commands it should. I can't tell if I have a defective device or not.

    @Toysoldier34 Is your device trying to connect 2.4 Ghz WiFi? or 5 Ghz WiFi ?

    Benjamin Cabé
    @kartben
    @johnadali yes you can do group enrollment for sure -- check out https://github.com/kartben/mxchip_pnp_asset_tracker for an example of an app that leverages a group enrollment

    Thanks @kartben very helpful! I am having a different issue now - I downloaded your GitHub source code for the asset tracker and am getting compile errors when I verify the code in VS Code. The first error I get is "Fail to get the Vid Pid information from the builder response code=404
    sketch\src\mxchip_iot_devkit\utilities\leds_interface.c: In function 'LedsInterface_Create':". I did verify I have all the extensions and latest versions of things on my system. Any suggestions on why I'm getting this error? Thanks in advance.
    error text file is my output when I try to verify the source code

    @johnadali
    further investigation reveals that there are signature differences to methods in the Azure IoT Hub Device C SDK being called from the code files in the src\mxchip_iot_devkit\utilities directory. I've verified the latest SDK installed on my PC. Is there something I'm missing?

    Hi i am looking for a script code for MXChip to generate .. . 3 random telemetry every 2 seconds
    for example
    0s = Temperature, Humidity, Pressure
    2s= Humidity, MagnetM X , Temperature
    4s= Temperature, Gyroscope , MagnetM Z
    anything random every few seconds, does anyone have such a code?
    David Fuchs
    @DavidFuchs
    Is it possible to calibrate the temperature sensor? Mine is reading 27.4C in a 22C room. :\ This makes me question how accurate the humidity and pressure sensors are as well, as I've got no good way to test those.
    Jani Turunen
    @Janisku7
    calibrating it would be great
