Tony Williams
@TWith2Sugars
whoops
Project Scaffold uses FAKE and Paket, it's an opinionated way of structure .net projects. You can still use FAKE and Paket without it.
cnd
@cnd
@TWith2Sugars but I still can't avoid fsproj files?
Tony Williams
@TWith2Sugars
No, it was never a way to avoid using them
cnd
@cnd
@TWith2Sugars I wonder...
@TWith2Sugars why still we can't replace it
Tony Williams
@TWith2Sugars
I'm guessing a lot of the tooling relies on it (VS, etc)
cnd
@cnd
I see, terrible :)
for now I will keep going with batch and nuget -_-'
Steffen Forkmann
@forki
There are people working on a new inofficial project system which will use FAKE. Not sure about the status

@cnd
@forki fake shake?

I forgot how to multiway if in F#

Enrico Sada
@enricosada
@latkin hi, are you here?
Hosch250
@Hosch250
Does anyone know if F# is going to support the analyzers and code fixes, the way C# and VB.NET do?
Enrico Sada
@enricosada
The fsharp compiler is not roslyn based, so is difficult. For refactoring you can try fsharp power tools extension, add lots of Awesome commands.
Hosch250
@Hosch250
OK. I am working on an open source static analyzer for C#/VB.NET that is based on Roslyn, and I was wondering if the C++/F# ones weren't available yet or what.
Thanks for the information.
Enrico Sada
@enricosada
@Hosch250 you can try http://fsharp.github.io/FSharp.Compiler.Service/ for fsharp. Compiler as a service like roslyn, is the base for every refactoring/analizer tool in the f# ecosystem
Eriawan Kusumawardhono
@eriawan
@enricosada is this F# compiler service the base of F# Power Tools?
Vasily Kirichenko
@vasily-kirichenko
@eriawan yes
Eriawan Kusumawardhono
@eriawan
@vasily-kirichenko cool! thanks Vasily :)

I would like to see Dockerfile example for F# 4 on fsharp.org e.g. under "F# on Linux" options

Atılım Güneş Baydin
@gbaydin
Hi, can someone with connection to https://github.com/fsharp/fsfoundation have a look at the pull requests please? I have one waiting for more than a week.
Jared Hester
@cloudRoutine
@gbaydin you'll have better luck reaching people on the FSSF slack https://fsharp.slack.com/ but you'll need to join @ http://foundation.fsharp.org/join before you get an invite to the team
Stephen Shaw
@decriptor
how do you get invited to the slack group?
Jared Hester
@cloudRoutine
@decriptor you sign up at http://foundation.fsharp.org/join and you should get an email with an invite to the team within a day or two
Stephen Shaw
@decriptor
ah ok, I already signed up as a member
@cloudRoutine thanks
Mathias Brandewinder
@mathias-brandewinder
@gbaydin can you link to the specific pull request?
Jared Hester
@cloudRoutine
Stephen Shaw
@decriptor
@cloudRoutine as far as I can tell fpchat.com is a dead link
Atılım Güneş Baydin
@gbaydin
@mathias-brandewinder @cloudRoutine Hi Mathias, cloudRoutine, the request was merged by dsyme soon after my post. :) Thank you for your replies, I didn't know about the slack group.

@Thorium
The latest LinqPad 5 Beta supports F# intellisense when registered. It works but seems to be to slow... But still this is great news.
Rick Minerich
@Rickasaurus
That's great news.

@migueldeicaza
Hey guys
Anyone knows of some cute F# 1-liners with graphics?
Or a 1-liner repo for that matter
Jared Hester
@cloudRoutine
@migueldeicaza maybe https://github.com/ptrelford/FunSharp ? if you find something better I'd love to know
Jon Wood
@jwood803
I can try to poke around FSSnip to see if there’s anything there

random as sort predicate?
I have to toy with that. that's great.
