    @gabloe Hmm, we have no plan to support other JVM compatible languages so far. But it's open for contribution.

    @GeraldNDA
    I noticed a paramaterized test (on JUnit4) is reported as failing with "No tests found matching Method ..." I'm not quite sure if this is issue is on my side since #35 is closed/fixed
    Also my test sidebar is empty and I don't see "Run Test" on test methods. Any ideas what might be missing?
    (If I run tests on the workspace most of the tests run other than the parameterized one)

    @jdneo
    @GeraldNDA Feel free to create an issue for this and then we can discuss/tracking in that place
    Gerald Aryeetey
    @GeraldNDA
    aii will do
    I guess I was really hoping I was missing some configuration stuff w/ respect to the missing tests in the explorer
    Gerald Aryeetey
    @GeraldNDA
    Actually the empty explorer is explained in #470 (I don't use maven/gradle so I'll have to wait for that pull request to get in)
    Gerald Aryeetey
    @GeraldNDA
    @jdneo my issue is based on a school project (technically not allowed to share publicly)
    but I'll try to create another project that can reproduce the issue
    Sheng Chen
    @jdneo
    @GeraldNDA That will be great. Is your project a Eclipse project? Just want to know how will you manage the dependencies in your project
    Gerald Aryeetey
    @GeraldNDA
    Uh it was originally an Eclipse project but I've been running it in IntelliJ as well.
    Gerald Aryeetey
    @GeraldNDA
    also how does releasing work for this ... I was wondering if I could try what's new in the repo
    Gerald Aryeetey
    @GeraldNDA
    @jdneo Was able to reproduce with a single java file so hopefully dependencies aren't the issue
    Gerald Aryeetey
    @GeraldNDA
    Well, the issue update looks promising. Can't wait to get my hands on that update so I can uninstall eclipse/intellij :)

    @jdneo
    Thank you @GeraldNDA Just feel free to let us know what problems you are meeting with. The feedbacks can help us improve the extension.
    Gerald Aryeetey
    @GeraldNDA
    so uh, I just saw the release
    and for my school's project, not all the tests work
    also I see alot of extra classes in the test explorer (it looks like it's picking up every class instead of just the test ones)
    Gerald Aryeetey
    @GeraldNDA
    Ah so I can reproduce with the mini project:
    basically from the test explorer it doesn't work but the "Run Test" button at the top of the class does work
    also the run test on the specific method doesn't work (I'm not sure if this is expected or not)
    Gerald Aryeetey
    @GeraldNDA
    @jdneo I updated the issue (or maybe I should make a new one ...) with the reproduced issue. That being said, in my school project I can sometimes run tests from the explorer
    I also have a case in here that's slightly weird. I have a abstract test class that's inherited by another class. I can run the abstract class tests from the explorer (which obviously fail) but I can't run the inherited one (probably because it doesn)
    *doesn't have any @Test methods that aren't inherited
    Gerald Aryeetey
    @GeraldNDA
    I don't get the intelligent code thing for either of them which is unfortunate
    Sheng Chen
    @jdneo
    @GeraldNDA I just filed a new issue: microsoft/vscode-java-test#714
    Gerald Aryeetey
    @GeraldNDA
    Thanks! Ill
    I'll have to see if I can create a sample project for the issue involving test inheritance ...
    Gerald Aryeetey
    @GeraldNDA
    @jdneo this issue was supposedly fixed in: microsoft/vscode-java-test#435

    @katzelad
    Hi
    I am trying to add a JAR to the classpath of the test, is it possible?
    Sheng Chen
    @jdneo
    Hi @katzelad If you are not using Maven/Gradle, you can put the jars into the 'lib' folder.
    Elad
    @katzelad
    Hi @jdneo, can I specify my own path to a jar/folder?
    Sheng Chen
    @jdneo
    @katzelad I assume that you are not using project build tools like Maven/Gradle. If that is true, so far you can only put the jars into the lib folder. That's a limitation of the Java Languge Server
    Elad
    @katzelad
    @jdneo I am using maven but the classpath is not detected automatically (I get a ClassNotFoundException), so I am trying to manually add the resulting artifact to the classpath
    Sheng Chen
    @jdneo
    I see. Could you please check if the setting java.configuration.updateBuildConfiguration is set to automatic?
    Elad
    @katzelad
    @jdneo Now it is, and it works. Thanks!
    Sheng Chen
    @jdneo
    @katzelad Good to know. You are welcome!

    @tkleczek
    Is is possible to view the actual shell command issued after clicking "Run test" in code lens?
    Sheng Chen
    @jdneo
    @tkleczek So far its not available, but I can add it into the output channel
    tkleczek
    @tkleczek
    @jdneo It would be helpful to debug configuration issues. In my specific case it's the other way round - the extension runs tests smoothly, but have trouble running them with ant build, so was thinking taking a look at the exact command would be helpful. Anyway, thanks for the answer :)
    Sheng Chen
    @jdneo
    @tkleczek Thank you for let us know the context. Would you mind to create a new issue for this? I can fix it ASAP.
    tkleczek
    @tkleczek
    @jdneo : Sure, here it is: microsoft/vscode-java-test#735, thanks.
    I was also wondering: is there a way to quickly re-run the previously run test (the best would be able to assign keyboard shortcut to this action?) Usually when I work on fixing a single test - I hack on the code and then every time I want to check whether the test passes I click 'go to source' for the test and click 'run test' again then go back to the code if it still doesn't pass. Would be much smoother if there was a shortcut.
    Sheng Chen
    @jdneo
    Thank you for the feedback. Yes that's a valid feature request, and we have an issue tracking that too: microsoft/vscode-java-test#531
    Gerald Aryeetey
    @GeraldNDA
    @jdneo do you know if this extension works on WSL/remote VS Code instances? The rest of the Java extensions seem fine but I get "spawn ... ENOENT" which I think means that it's trying to run java on the host :eyes:
    Sheng Chen
    @jdneo
    @GeraldNDA Thank you for pointing out that. I'll investigate it later.
    Gerald Aryeetey
    @GeraldNDA
    @jdneo I was thinking about the CodeLens bug .... why don't you use the information provided by the Java Language Service?
    Sheng Chen
    @jdneo
    @GeraldNDA Could you provide the issue number?
    Gerald Aryeetey
    @GeraldNDA
    @jdneo #740
    Sheng Chen
    @jdneo
    @GeraldNDA Just feel free to add your comments in that issue. We can discuss more details there
