    I don't think they provide an API (maybe), but you can have a look at code of this extension.

    In this, the extension is reading a list, then downloading them and triggering install i.e. what one will do to manual download and install, extension code is doing for them.

    Howdy folks! Not sure if I can ask this here but I'm having an issue where the devs of a project works with PHP and have a rulseset.xml file for Codesniffer. They set the standard to use single quotes, but one of my extensions changes them to double quotes. I have prettier and eslint installed. Is there a way to make vscode follow the ruleset.xml rules?
    I don't want to disable/enable extensions every time I change project

    @rexodys:matrix.org create a workspace, load your project in workspace, and then modify that setting only for that workspace.

    so that using ctrl+k+c twice would actually lead to "////xyz" instead of "// // xyz"

    Hi all, I just saw an extension called vschat and this got me thinking, has anyone implemented matrix rooms in a coding environment yet? Especially vscode

    Hi, some languages (rust in this example) provide inline type hints (see rust-analyzer/rust-analyzer#3453 for an example).
    I would like to have those for typescript as well, but cannot find a setting for it. Is that possible/supported or does some extension exist? Thanks in advance.

    In VSCode, I opened VSCode DevTools from Help -> Togle Developer Tools. And when i went to the Console tab I just see a bunch of huge errors and warnings, most of them contain Extension Host, could anyone tell me if this is common or there is some problem with my one. Although my VSCode works fine, no problems.

    I installed an extension but it's grayed out in the list and I can't enable it. What does that mean? I don't see anything in the "Extension host" logs or the regular logs.

    this is implemented by the language server configuration.
    See if the language server for your file type is providing this option to remove the space after //.

    • uninstall that extension
    • make sure your vscode is updated
    • reopen vscode and reinstall that extension
    • see if it works, if not restart vscode using code --disable-extensions and close it after sometime
    • restart code normally

    what's the best way to add custom scopes (eg "constant.numeric.real") to an existing language (eg c++)? should I write a textmate grammar that inherits the cpp one? or just edit the cpp grammar (maybe copy and rename)? or write my own extension? or is there a better way?

    How to change vscode integrated terminal python binding. I'm conda activating ... an env and command prompt is also reflecting the same. However, python still points to /usr/bin/python which on Big Sur is Python 2.7.3 .
