@canvasplay
hello!
Your good enough parser looks promising for my problem... :D
Mike Ralphson
@MikeRalphson
I hope so. Let me know if you find any problems! ☺

I have a browser app reading some XML files and processing them with the help of Sizzle.js
My attempt is to port it to Nodejs
Im trying to find the right tools
Ey! Nice to see your so quick on response
Mike Ralphson
@MikeRalphson
Jgexml should be OK for parsing the xml or converting it straight to json, unless its very large.

@canvasplay
what do you think?

@MikeRalphson
If you get stuck, let me know and I will try and improve the examples.

Sizzle works against a DOM
HTML or XML
is your parser creating DOM compatible interface?
i mean... Nodes having properties like .childNodes
or .nodeName
Mike Ralphson
@MikeRalphson
No, it's more like a sax parser (though you can convert to a JSON / Javascript object and do any processing you like).
canvasplay
@canvasplay
ok... The JSON processing is my plan B, but I'm trying to mantain a lot of logic stuff I already have using Sizzle selectors
something like search for article > author[name*="Nicola"]
Mike Ralphson
@MikeRalphson
If there isn't a port of sizzle to Node.JS you could try cheerio?
canvasplay
@canvasplay
hmmm cheerio :D
Ok! thanks a lot man! I'm relatively new to javascript server things ;)
Im going to investigate further those options
Cheers! ..io xD
