Hi , any idea why a newly added acu chek combo pump (the older died) to an existing working AAPS system based on Samsung A51 is not accessible by AAPS ? Tried almost all I know like redtsrt phone , manual bolus , clear AAPS cache , on and off nluetooth of both pump and phone. Addingbthe pump was successfull few times by Ruffi app. Thank you !
@arikpik Please join discord and ask question there... But short response is, that you will need to pair your Combo with Ruffy first (AAPS must not be running), like you did for your first pump.
Hello, I'm setting up AndroidAPS for my 9-year-old son. I'm super excited about finally having the benifits of a closed loop system when he returns to school, as the last year was pretty rough at school. Unfortunately, I'm a little behind schedule due to some maddening insurance issues, and then a backorder on the Orangelink. We have been running on open loop and entering all carbs, activating basal recomendations ect. while working through the questions in objective 3. The problem is that now it is requiring us to wait a week between some objectives, meaning that the system will not be operational until 9 days AFTER he goes back to school. I would like to have a full week at home with him running closed loop before turning him over to the hands of the school nurse, and also getting his endocrinoligist to create 2 different sets of doctors orders may not be possible.(Plus the fact that the nurse is not going to be activating multiple temp basal suggestions each day) Does anyone here know of a way to skip through the time requirement for the rest of the objectives? I've done a considerable amount of reading and familiarizing myself with the system, so I believe we are ready to move forward with giving him the benifits AndroidAPS has to offer when he goes back to school Aug. 11. CAN SOMEONE HELP PLEASE?! Thanks.
Hi all. I'm new to this so please excuse me for any faux pases. I am in middle of completing the objectives in my 4 year old daughter's AndroidAPS and I'm stuck on #4. Am I supposed to be changing temp basals on my own? (I am - it's our main mode of operation now as it is - but it's not registering in the task area as a completed task step - remains at 0)? Or am I supposed to be waiting for prompts from the app? (I haven't received any since starting it again this morning...but in the past, I'm realzing now that that's what those must have been about). All help appreciated - I am NOT a techie... (though I got a pretty good understandinf the basic loop idea, I think :))
Hey -- been looping with OpenAPS for 4 years, and decided to give AndroidAPS a go.
Got my link setup, talking to my pump......
Is there a way to bypass these days of objectives?
This is going to be an annoying response - but you don't want to : )
Seriously, the objectives area a real pain. Especially #3 (you can get help after trying your hand out at the responses), but I can say - and only up to #4 so far - t hat it's by far the best "university" for learning to best handle the app. However, at least as of Objective #4, you have an option of getting a code to use and skip the rest of the objectives if you are already an experienced loop user.
Foxy7 - is that the only place to keep chatting? Bec I have a filter on my computer and it blocks out Discord (and Facebook). I'd appreciate any other leads that don't use these two platforms. TIA.
@applehat you can email the developers and get a password to skip the objectives, there is a note somewhere in the doc I remember reading.
@Etti2020 unfortunately yes, for the help you need, you need to use Discord, those on Gitter tend to be with xdrip+ or OpenAPS users (or both).
Hi all, how can I enable 'closed-loop' on a build of the dev branch?
