No worries!!! My suggestion? Take notes on where things could be better. The entire course system is open source and you can submit updates through GitHub!

# placing the language after the three ` marks, should give syntax highlighting for that language
# example python code
def sayHello():
    print "hello!"
sayHello()
It auto detects most languages though

gotta say I'm not a huge fan of codepen yet lol

It took me a few before I was used to it. After that hurdle, I found it very nice to have the tri-code view with immediate updates. You could still write it somewhere else and transfer it to pen to "finish" the exercise.

some of the stuff is just hard to get used to when you're only used to seeing it in linear view but I tried to put

h1 {font-size: 250%;}

into css and it has no effect at all

You can link the codepen if you'd like.
I will be a bit slow to answer over the next few hours. Meeting David to go over some website fun.

That's fine, I'm gonna keep messing around for a bit, won't get any better if I don't
for some reason it works with px and not %
Lily Romano
@Lilyheart
May 11 2016 16:46
not sure why that wouldn’t work. If you want to link me the pen, I can look at it as your code looks sound.

how do i go about doing that?
Lily Romano

May 11 2016 17:01
I don’t see why it wouldn’t work other then you want like 700%

I was trying to do 250% at first nothing happened even when I did 150% it wouldn't work as soon as I went to px it worked perfectly. I'm finding a few things here and there that don't work the same as they did in the lessons but I'm making do so far it's pretty easy to search w3schools for different ways to do things and eventually one works

If something like that happens again, feel free to post a link here or hit that fork button at the top of the page to make a copy of the code if you want to keep working. It’s hard to tell what happened.

ok and I assume we're allowed to do pretty much anything as long as it uses html css or jquery because I've gone a bit further. I'd like you to check out my code for the first <h2> as well and tell me if there's a better way to do this
