The sound is inconsistent. I set up a Code Pen account. Should we use a pre-processor? Pro: it seems like as students, we should practice using the regular HTML. Minus: stop all the redundant busy work and get the same results.
There's a different project that I'm going to do, so this is getting me started.

The sound issue is when other people ask questions. Sorry :/ When I edit I’ll put in splash pages with the question..
I think when you first learn, a pre-processor won’t do any favors. If you have any issues, it’ll be harder to debug if you don’t have the foundation knowledge.
a pre-processor is a great shortcut once you are confident in your coding.
A compromise is to use a great IDE like Atom which helps with shortcuts, but you still are responsible for all the bits and bobs.
like you can type span and it’ll give you <span></span>
