@javaJarrett I've never used intellij but I've used netbean on ubuntu and I think one called bluebird both were pretty decent and free. I suck at Java but had to take a class in school so that's about as much help as I might be though.

Sep 01 2016 14:49
I can’t wait to never not create specific js files for each task starting immediately after this project
Lilyheart @Lilyheart is so confused.

Sep 01 2016 14:50
you're not the only one
Eric Phy
@SimplyPhy
Sep 01 2016 14:50
I’m going to start creating new js files for each type of thing i’m building; e.g. per page, per functionality (validation, ui state, etc)
Lily Romano
@Lilyheart
Sep 01 2016 14:51
And use gulp to squish them?
Eric Phy
@SimplyPhy
Sep 01 2016 14:51
then i’ll just concatenate them via gulp, and this way I will know where my scripts are, instead of running around hundreds of lines trying to remember exactly where I wrote example x
yeah they’ll be the same size as one file collectively, and i’ll just have gulp turn them into one, then get the uggz going
uggz ofcourse being the professional shorthand for uglify

Eric Phy
@SimplyPhy
Sep 01 2016 23:35
why in the hell do so many little things have to be such a pain in the ass
Jonathan Herman
@lantech19446
Sep 01 2016 23:36
because they're designed by people who are like high function aspies, incapable of understanding how the average user will use the browser, and they're never wrong
Eric Phy
@SimplyPhy
Sep 01 2016 23:37
i try to get a div to overflow-y: scroll and the damn thing only works when shift+cmd+c selector is active in dev tools
like the 3rd time today i’ve had to mess with overflow because of how disfunctional it is
Jonathan Herman
@lantech19446
Sep 01 2016 23:38
you've just completely lost me
Eric Phy
@SimplyPhy
Sep 01 2016 23:46
when you’re in dev tools in the browser, there’s a special cursor you can use to check styles of elements on the page. When I use that, and I go into an invisible box, a scrollbar allows me to navigate a range of text that is overwise invisible (like a slot machine; you only see some things until the new things ‘scroll’ into view). However, this doesn’t work with the default cursor.
Jonathan Herman
@lantech19446
Sep 01 2016 23:48
I would just for s&g's then of course switch it to a middle finger cursor
Eric Phy
@SimplyPhy
Sep 01 2016 23:48
