Yeah, I was chattin' about it earlier. I am not thrilled... at all... I need to make a css style sheet or something to fix the biggest issues.

just for my own view. using an extension like Stylish or Greasemonkey/Tampermonkey.

right now I'm using firefox but I can use chrome, this would also require me using the web version of gitter which I don't know if I really want too

either one has stylish. stylish is easier but it's css only.
firefox has greasemonkey, chrome has tampermonkey. These let you write css or javascript and it's more complicated but more flexible.
