    @Lilyheart
    And meetup (slash wepay) takes a cut... more than I'd rather.
    Jonathan Herman
    @lantech19446
    lol lily it's a whole level of complication I'm all too familiar with working in a library.
    Lily Romano
    @Lilyheart
    I'd rather just do a good old fashioned fundraiser.
    yar!
    Ugh, it's $35 a meeting just to serve food... No thanks.
    But it's free space for the summer. Deal with past a little bit later.
    Robert Maylie
    @rmaylie9560
    I tend to resort back to old code (that works) after a failed edit. I can post a little later. Would you mind taking a look @davidjcastner
    Lily Romano
    @Lilyheart
    @rmaylie9560 I didn't even include the expense of the domain I didn't end up using :p
    Jonathan Herman
    @lantech19446
    yea, we're 50 but we don't charge non-profits unless they're selling stuff.
    Lily Romano
    @Lilyheart
    That 35 isn't the room fee. That's the food fee. I don't remember the room fee because it didn't apply.
    David Castner
    @davidjcastner
    @rmaylie9560 yes just post the code when you are ready
    Jonathan Herman
    @lantech19446
    they charge you a food fee? that's the most ridiculous thing I've heard in a long time.
    Lily Romano
    @Lilyheart
    Found out an interesting tidbit of information. our montcode domain almost wasn't available. MCCC's Software Developer Academy almost took that domain!
    It makes sense if they keep having people who don't know how to clean up after themselves.
    Looked it up. If a non-profit charges a fee, the room is $25, for profit is $50. If refreshments will be served, a non-refundable fee of $35.00 per function is charged
    Jonathan Herman
    @lantech19446
    that's just a fact of having a library, and generally is what the room fee covers. I've worked for MCLINC in the past and I can list at least 6 member libraries with far less resources where that would be a terminable offense for the director to even think of it.
    Robert Maylie
    @rmaylie9560
    Thanks Dave
    Lily Romano
    @Lilyheart
    Hmmm... tribute page or skip to exercises.....
    Actually.. I want a button on the chat.montcode.com page that hides the video... for meetings like this...
    Sounds more fun to do :grinning:
    Jonathan Herman
    @lantech19446
    I'd be interested in seeing how that works, not sure I'd understand it yet but would be interesting to see
    Lily Romano
    @Lilyheart
    I'll probably use jQuery's slide up http://api.jquery.com/slideup/
    I have a page somewhere with lots of jquery slides and fades. lemme find the link.
    Jonathan Herman
    @lantech19446
    so once you do slidup could you then change the button and do .slidedown to bring the chat visible again?
    Lily Romano
    @Lilyheart
    Has no backend, so nothing is persistent but feel free to poke around the code.
    It would be like the + symbol on that todo page thing. here is the js file https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1413496/Misc/projects/todo/assets/js/todos.js
    it's probably slideToggle that I'll actually use, but yeah
    Michael Karpinski
    @karpimpski
    hey guys, just joined up!
    David Castner
    @davidjcastner
    It didn't take long to go through the exercises, just a lot of them
    @karpimpski Welcome!!!
    Michael Karpinski
    @karpimpski
    thanks @davidjcastner ! where from Montgomery County is everybody from?
    Lily Romano
    @Lilyheart
    Did everyone see the final version of the color game? I built in David's evil setting that he wanted. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1413496/Misc/projects/color-game/index.html
    Hi @karpimpski !
    Jonathan Herman
    @lantech19446
    hey Michael welcome, I'm from Hatfield
    Lily Romano
    @Lilyheart
    Blue Bell-ish here.
    Michael Karpinski
    @karpimpski
    @Lilyheart did you make that color game? btw I'm from Pottstown
    Lily Romano
    @Lilyheart
    I did using a code along found in Colt Steele's bootcamp on Udemy.
    David Castner
    @davidjcastner
    @Lilyheart Love the new David setting! muhahaha
    Michael Karpinski
    @karpimpski
    @Lilyheart I like it! how did you generate the other colors? did you make them completely random or did you base them off of the correct color?
    Lily Romano
    @Lilyheart
    You would! An Adam number of square and a David level of range is just an evil game.
    @karpimpski There is a range selecter you can choose. Full is a totally random generated colors. The "David" level randomly generates nearby colors. That was fun to figure out. If you really wanna dig into the code, here is the js https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1413496/Misc/projects/color-game/colorgame.js
    search for "function closeRandomColor"
    Michael Karpinski
    @karpimpski
    @Lilyheart thanks!
    Lily Romano
    @Lilyheart
    meh, I can just put it in here! I'm too tired lately.
    function closeRandomColor(str) {
        var rgb = str.match(/\d+/g);
        for (var i = 0; i < rgb.length; i++) {
            rgb[i] = Number(rgb[i]);
            var variance = Math.floor(Math.random() * 60) * (Math.random() < 0.5 ? -1 : 1);
            console.log(rgb[i] + "+" + variance);

            if(rgb[i] + variance > 255 || rgb[i] + variance < 0) {
                rgb[i] = rgb[i] - variance;
            } else {
                rgb[i] = rgb[i] + variance;
            }
        }
        return "rgb(" + rgb[0] + ", " + rgb[1] + ", " + rgb[2] + ")";
    }
    Michael Karpinski
    @karpimpski
    hey guys, can you let me know what you think of my button hover and click effects? I think they're pretty good!
    Lily Romano
    @Lilyheart
    I send the closeRandomColor function the string of the last color determined and it finds numbers close to it.
    Nice toggle! The font color is a bit hard to see on :hover tho
