    @Lilyheart
    I looked into it a looooong while back.
    Jonathan Herman
    @lantech19446
    it ceased to exist last year, unfortunately it's still the most accurate device to date. Apparently the program it ran on was programmed in Java. What kind of monumental task am I undertaking if I wanted to try to learn java well enough to reverse engineer a solution to using it still
    Lily Romano
    @Lilyheart
    Java is.... um.... frustrating.
    I'd be surprised if someone wasn't already working on it.
    Jonathan Herman
    @lantech19446
    I've done a little bit with java in the past I was ok at it once I got the hang of it but I forget most of it and certainly wasn't up to the standard i'd need to be to reverse engineer anything beyond the hello world program. I haven't found anything about anyone working on this and apparently someone had in the past but then the company closed the hole they found. That problem won't exist now because everything is shut down
    Lily Romano
    @Lilyheart
    Java has lots of bits to keep up with. Seems every program, no matter now big or small requires a zillion files. classes, interfaces, etc.
    Jonathan Herman
    @lantech19446
    That might be why no one is undertaking it.
    Lily Romano
    @Lilyheart
    I dunno. Could be whoever killing information as it pops up or code is obfuscated and haven't gotten around that yet.
    Jonathan Herman
    @lantech19446
    true
    Lily Romano
    @Lilyheart
    best I can tell, whoever it was (short attn span tonight, sorry) bought bodybugg for the patents. So, letting information go free about reverse engineering... that might get a crack down.
    Jonathan Herman
    @lantech19446
    yea a couple called jawbone who supported bodybugg by contractual agreement until the end of last year and actually continued selling the devices up until that day. Ironically they're still sold on amazon even though they're completely useless but no one knew when they bought them out originally that they were going to kill it off the original intent was to design the up with the bodybugg technology and apparently they failed miserably and destroyed a market while they were at it

    @Lilyheart
    I think I'm calling it a night. Jon, are you coming tomorrow?
    Jonathan Herman
    @lantech19446
    I won't be able to I'm working 10-8
    Dave Reaser
    @reaser
    I'm at a loss on something, need to uncheck all checkboxes and communicate it to a mysql db, can someone point me in the right direction, i see the front end code that changes when the box is unchecked but can't seem to find how to remove it or maybe even create a button on the front end that does it automatically
    Eric Phy
    @SimplyPhy
    @reaser there’s an inputproperty called checked that specifies if the input value is checked or not. you can test for this, or set it yourself.
    e.g.
    <input type="checkbox" checked>
    <html>
        <body>
            <input id="check1" type="checkbox" checked="" name="copyNewAddrToBilling">
        </body>
        <script language="javascript">
            document.getElementById("check1").checked = true;
            document.getElementById("check1").checked = false;
        </script>
    </html>

    Dave Reaser
    @reaser
    Thank you, I did see that in the code, what i'm struggling with is figuring out how to write this so that pushing a button will clear all checkboxes for that field in the database. It's basically a box next to each persons name which indicates if they have signed a contract. Each year they have to resign it so I want to add a box to reset that field.
    Lily Romano
    @Lilyheart
    @reaser if @SimplyPhy doesn't get back to you soon, I'll look at it when i'm not mobile.
    @Jhighl Are you coming to the meetup tonight? Some arduino stuff will be there. https://www.meetup.com/MontCode/events/236502702/
    Dave Reaser
    @reaser
    Thanks yea I still need some help figuring out how to have the button locate the waiver section that is checked off
    Dave Reaser
    @reaser
    So I have the button created called Reset Waiver added to the menu successfully, the class of the checkbox is called "waiver", i'm going to try a few things but any input here would be very helpful
    Just trying to clear all of the checkboxes, with them currently checked they are greyed out so the end users can't manually reset them
    Lily Romano
    @Lilyheart
    Sorry I haven't had a chance to look it up yet Dave. I've been running around since I woke up getting things together for tonight's meetup.
    Lily Romano
    @Lilyheart
    @lantech19446 , sent you a PM

    @Lilyheart when it says to nest all htmls in .container-fluid.

    <div class="container-fluid" link rel="stylesheet" href="//maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.1/css/bottstrap.min.css" link href="https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Lobster" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css"/>

    </div>

    My first post on here I apologize if there is a better way to do this.

    Lily Romano
    @Lilyheart
    @kshum2016 what is the name of the fcc lesson you are doing?
    xD your post is fine. There is a way to make the code a tad nicer https://github.com/FreeCodeCamp/FreeCodeCamp/wiki/Code-Formatting
    Mike
    @dcpking
    I couldn't be there, but I hope all's going / gone well this evening at the new library
    Lily Romano
    @Lilyheart
    @dcpking 12 total once all was said and done. inet was a bit laggy at first but calmed down after a minute.

    Howdy
    Robert Marcy
    @Ryzilynt
    Oops sorry Ryzilynt is Robert Marcy, used github to sign in

    Hey Robert!

    @Ryzilynt
    Hey!
    Lily Romano
    @Lilyheart
    It's up to you of course, but you can update your display name on github and it'll update here (how I have Lily Romano @Lilyheart on comments - https://github.com/settings/profile
    Robert Marcy
    @Ryzilynt
    Wonder if I can change that
    Lily Romano
    @Lilyheart
    great minds xD
    Robert Marcy
    @Ryzilynt
    There
    Bah, it's still Ryzilynt
    Lily Romano
    @Lilyheart
    Awesome. Might take a bit to transfer over to Gitter. But it'll get there eventually.
    Robert Marcy
    @Ryzilynt
    .
    There we go
    Lily Romano
    @Lilyheart
    Yay for caches
    Robert Marcy
    @Ryzilynt
    Ok using the app now
    Robert Marcy
    @Ryzilynt
    Just figured out why I didn't see the pinned post before last nights meeting. While accessing Facebook via iPhone you need to click the "view pinned post link" it doesn't just appear at the top by default
    Lily Romano
    @Lilyheart
    Mobile is the WORST about those damn pinned posts. They give up a feature to highlight a post.... and then make it harder to find on mobile where I would hazard to guess it is most frequently used
    Robert Marcy
    @Ryzilynt
    Starting to seriously consider starting on fcc.....
    Lily Romano
    @Lilyheart
    woot woot!
    Robert Marcy
    @Ryzilynt
    I'm almost there
