    @Oneymus
    I like GitLab.
    Vadim Peretokin
    @vadi2
    At least they're not shutting it down.
    Erik Pettis
    @Oneymus
    I use it for my personal stuff.
    Vadim Peretokin
    @vadi2
    WOE
    Erik Pettis
    @Oneymus
    In fact, most of the stuff on my GitHub is mirrored from my GitLab.
    Vadim Peretokin
    @vadi2
    I just agreed to @Chris7 that we'd migrate from launchpad to github
    Now there's a new thing just as we're ready to migrate
    Haha this is hilarious. I'm getting pop-ups from Gitter that it's having trouble communicating. This is the first time I've ever gotten them.
    keneanung
    @keneanung
    I like gitlab as well. They have some thungs github doesn't (but are missing some things github has, too)
    Vadim Peretokin
    @vadi2
    It's probably nice, and it's open-source. I'd like to get more people involved in Mudlet dev though, and moving off the more popular platform won't facilitate that, so eh.
    keneanung
    @keneanung
    It's actually "open-core"...
    Vadim Peretokin
    @vadi2
    Eh... what?
    keneanung
    @keneanung
    They have an open source base and some closed source additions, which can be used when you paid for a license.
    Gitlab.com is that paid version btw
    Vadim Peretokin
    @vadi2
    Cool.
    Stephen Lyons
    @SlySven

    Gitlab.com is that paid version btw

    Sounds like Travis.org (free) vs Travis.com ($$$)

    keneanung
    @keneanung
    not quite. They allow the use of the hosted full version of gitlab.com for free. But if you want to host that version yourself, you have to pay
    hosting gitlab CE (community edition)yourself is free
    keneanung
    @keneanung
    @vadi2 how was your exam?
    Vadim Peretokin
    @vadi2
    I think I did great! I'm thrilled about it. Not bad for just 3 months in de Nederland!
    Now I can speak funny German :laughing:
    keneanung
    @keneanung
    hahaha! I still won't understand you :P
    Vadim Peretokin
    @vadi2
    I am an enigma
    keneanung
    @keneanung
    I might understand you a little when you speak Russian :P
    Vadim Peretokin
    @vadi2
    а что русский знаешь?
    keneanung
    @keneanung
    мой жена из екатаринбург
    Reading russion is okay, but I can't write much, yet (and using russian keyboard is even worse :P)
    Vadim Peretokin
    @vadi2

    хаха я на русской клавиатуре совсем не могу печатать - только по транслитерации на латинской!

    но, класс что русский знаешь! )

    keneanung
    @keneanung
    Reading transcriptions is even worse than actual russian for me. But yes, I'm learning! I won't starve in Russia, at least.
    Vadim Peretokin
    @vadi2
    I hate transcriptions with a passion, it's super hard for me too. I meant writing on a Latin keyboard with transliteration enabled
    keneanung
    @keneanung
    ah. I still have trouble building the sound combinations, so that doesn't work for me either :D
    I've been to Yekatarineburgh and Moscow for the first time at new year this year. A great experience!
    Vadim Peretokin
    @vadi2
    Wow you spent NYE in Russia? Yeah it would have been!
    Stephen Lyons
    @SlySven
    It might be indelicate to inquire but of what national origins are you Vadim (you may not wish to answer, that is fair enough) but I see your name and think Russian but I thought you are an Aussie. {On the other hand if you do speak Russian the spam forum messages probably make at least some sense...!}
    Vadim Peretokin
    @vadi2
    Haha. I'm Russian, and I've been all around the world ;) I've got a Canadian passport and I've lived in Australia for the last 6 years.
    Stephen Lyons
    @SlySven
    Humm, that looks nasty: Cyclone Debbie is heading towards where you were I think Vadim, i.e. Brisbane...
    Vadim Peretokin
    @vadi2
    Yeah, nasty...
    Oh it's way up north
    Airlie beach and stuff. Not in Brisbane
    Vadim Peretokin
    @vadi2
    @dicene I've found https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Typedef to be a super helpful read
    Vadim Peretokin
    @vadi2
    Damnit, my password manager has figured out that the master password for it and Google are the same. Now I have to change them.

    Well I was sitting out in the garden (was going to go for a spot of out-door programming, but got distracted by trying to watch the Cambridge vs. Oxford University Boat Race - only to find that I didn't have Flash on the Laptop I was used - so I thought lets ssh -Y into my Desktop machine and run FireFox from there as I know Flash is on THAT machine - then realised that although I could get vision the sound was being played on the Desktop machine up stairs and that a running pulse-audio server from it would eat into the LAN bandwidth (and was showing worrying signs of multi-casting outside towards my ISP and the 'Net) - then spent a while updating the Laptop and cleaning the keyboard of my main Desktop PC whilst that was going on...

    A word to the curious, if you are going to clean all the fluff/hair/dust/food crumbs/dirt off of a keyboard - allow plenty of time for it even if it is one that the key tops can be unclipped from easily, it takes ages to do, OTOH I have a nice clean, now unsoiled keyboard! :grinning:

    http://support.logitech.com/en_us/product/washable-keyboard-k310 my keyboard for the last many years, works great and I can give a weekly wash under the kitchen tap
    Vadim Peretokin
    @vadi2
    repology/repology#198 that one homebrew guy is a little odd
    Stephen Lyons
    @SlySven

    What is the IP rating on that keyboard - only tolerates immersion to 300mm?

    OTOH The Logitech stuff can be quite good: My second hand K360 Wireless one has proven remarkable robust, I was unloaded my Laptop bag from the car on the Cross-Channel ferry last year and it slipped out the side and fell several meters down onto the metal loading ramp that I had just driven up into the hold of the Ferry, the battery cover and the batteries fell off/out and the case got a few scratches but after reassembling it is still working fine (I was typing on it with the 'Doze laptop in the garden some minutes ago but came instead to check something on my primary (Linux) PC)...

    Vadim Peretokin
    @vadi2
    Wow, that's a great quality huh.

    @SlySven
    Any chance of making a new Forum Development Sub-Forum e.g. "I18n of Mudlet" and moving Mudlet 4.0 internalization roadmap to there as a Sub-forum starter?
    Vadim Peretokin
    @vadi2
    I don't think we need an entire subforum for it yet, but if we start getting overwhelmed with threads, I'll reconsider
