Formatted my PC, now I'm using Windows 10 and instead of using Eclipse I will try using IntelliJ (are you happy now @Matsv :P )

MrPowerGamerBR: are you having performance issues on Windows 10? When I use it it's like 5 times slower than my Linux partition

@MiniDigger
Sep 16 2016 18:29

Sep 16 2016 18:32
Oh, yeah took a quick look at it to stalk you
But win10 might be slow for me because I don't use it that often and it's installing updates in the background? Strange thing was that process manager(?) didn't show anything useful and said that everything was free
Or task manager, hm idk my Windows is in Dutch

I only have windows for games. don't use linux because I am a lazy bitch and don't want to reboot all the time
what I want to look into is having linux as main os, running on the gpu chip my cpu offers and then run a windows vm with gpu passthru so that I can game using my real gpu
in theory this should work
just don't know how I can tell linux to use integrated graphics and if that will be enough to run the system (and minecraft for testing stuff)
Mats
@Matsv
Sep 16 2016 18:38
Oh yeah that's pretty nice. However, I got way more productive since Ubuntu is my main OS, never want to reboot to play games :P

Sep 16 2016 18:41
And I was going to install a Linux distro on my PC instead of W10, but WINE compatibility isn't that good yet
(tl;dr: Didn't install because The Sims 1 doesn't work with WINE)
Mats
@Matsv
Sep 16 2016 18:41
No it looks like Windows xp with classic theme :P

I didn't know that IntelliJ "project" equals to Eclipse "workspace"
MiniDigger
@MiniDigger
Sep 16 2016 18:43
I used to play way more strategy games (as Germans do ^^)
The one thing I dislike in idea....
MrPowerGamerBR
@MrPowerGamerBR
Sep 16 2016 18:43
And "modules" equals to "projects"
If I knew that before it would be very useful
Mats
@Matsv
Sep 16 2016 18:43
Never use it tbh
I just open 500 windows
MiniDigger
@MiniDigger
Sep 16 2016 18:44
Not really. If you use module equals project your polrojects can't have modules...
Yeah. Do that too.
MrPowerGamerBR
@MrPowerGamerBR
Sep 16 2016 18:44
@MiniDigger IntelliJ "modules" equals to Eclipse "projects"
MiniDigger
@MiniDigger
Sep 16 2016 18:44
No
MrPowerGamerBR
@MrPowerGamerBR
Sep 16 2016 18:44
then idk
IntelliJ's website says that
Mats
@Matsv
Sep 16 2016 18:44
I mean you could use it like that
But I wouldn't
MrPowerGamerBR
@MrPowerGamerBR
Sep 16 2016 18:45
Well, I could create a project for every plugin
MiniDigger
@MiniDigger
Sep 16 2016 18:45
If you do that you can't have multiple maven modules in your project
MrPowerGamerBR
@MrPowerGamerBR
Sep 16 2016 18:45
@MiniDigger didn't know that
MiniDigger
@MiniDigger
Sep 16 2016 18:46
Can't have submodules
MrPowerGamerBR
@MrPowerGamerBR
Sep 16 2016 18:48
Now I need to find out how to add dependencies to IntelliJ
MiniDigger
@MiniDigger
Sep 16 2016 18:49

Mats
@Matsv
Sep 16 2016 18:59
Check the problems tab ;)
MrPowerGamerBR
@MrPowerGamerBR
Sep 16 2016 19:00
Yeah it is already set as 1.8
But I already know the issue
It imported the Eclipse "JavaSE-1.8" as a dependency
And IntelliJ still insists that BufferedImage doesn't exists
But in other classes no errors exists
MrPowerGamerBR
@MrPowerGamerBR
Sep 16 2016 19:05
Fuck me
I didn't import BufferedImage
Mats
@Matsv
Sep 16 2016 19:08
Lol :clap:
MrPowerGamerBR
@MrPowerGamerBR
Sep 16 2016 19:10
I thought IntelliJ would say "you didn't import BufferedImage!" (well, Eclipse does this)
I only found out that it wasn't imported when I pressed ALT + ENTER

Sep 16 2016 19:55
ffs I can't stand any color scheme I tried on IntelliJ
Ended up downloading a Eclipse-like theme for IntelliJ
