@padmick that is the idea of the framework. I would target uwp instead of just wp8.1 so you can reuse the app for windows 10. At the moment I have not tested in uwp as currently everything is changing with netstandard which is not supported in vs, but with the current targets is portable. BUT as sloth says you need a geth client to connect.
An interesting thought will be to wrap geth as a uwp and create a contracts.
Same as the PayPal example.
Regarding netstandard cli etc we will know at the end of the month in build
@slothbag are you making and android app? Or just using this as a backend.

hey @juanfranblanco , its backend code. I have a very good development environment / project structure that works well in XS.. I had a play around with VS Code today and it could become my replacement eventually. But XS works well and is great for cross platform dev
also, I plan on sticking with .Net framework / Mono until the DotNetCore stuff gets more mature.. .Net Framework / Mono has been an awesome cross platform environment for me up until now.. I was disappointed to hear msoft getting their grubby fingers in and messing things up. Hopefully the ecosystem ends up better at the end of all of it though

Yes that is why I did finally the project, much easier to provide support for existing projects and libraries.
I am hoping for a universal platform (not just windows)... well I have been hoping for that for years.
