@brendan87 yes please
i am using nuget and the latest is 1.0.0-rc5
are you able to verify signed messages ?
Brendan
@brendan87
Aug 19 2016 04:35
Yep
We are actually using the dev build from the nethereum forgive
But yes we sign and verify transactions using nethereum
If you want to use the dev branch, you will need to either use git sub modules or maybe clone it
Actually wait, rc5 should have signatures in it...

i am using the sample code

Dim encoded = web3.OfflineTransactionSigning.SignTransaction(privateKey, receiveAddress, 10, txCount.Value)

Just out of curiosity @juanfranblanco, at some point you were talking about being able to convert an abi file into a c# class library.. did you do any experiments with that or is it still on the roadmap?

@juanfranblanco Can web3.OfflineTransactionSigning.VerifyTransaction be also used to verify a signed message signature just by knowing the "Address" used to sign, "Message Text" and "Signature" ? in this case the private key used to sign the message is not known

Is there an equivalent ecrecover ?

@slothbag the current implementation is the gen project, use the console one, as per usual the .net core has been playing
it will generate a service class with all the functions, events..
it gets a bit messing when having things like mappings
it does not do yet the Event DTOs or Functions

@mtbitcoin I see what you want to do, but not at the moment. If we wanted to sign a message (top of my head) this could be done similar to the transaction by creating an RLP string and adding the VRS at the end
then it could be verified by extracting those
from the signed message

juan, yeah looks like it. only the client side with ethereumjs-util. Any plans to incorporate this in ? ;-)

If done already, removes a headache as I don't need to come up with a standard. Yes I will put it in the very near future, need to focus on docs and no fun stuff :)
