Hello. How do I connect to parity or I check if its connected to parity?
I am not sure if its connected to parity...

@Joter85 do a simple call to parity, like web3.Eth.GetAccounts.SendRequestAsync
Joter85
@Joter85
Jun 06 2017 08:25
web3.Eth.GetAccounts.SendRequestAsync doesn't exists, but web3.Eth.Accounts.SendRequestAsync executed without any error

yeah top of my head
so you got a list of accounts?
then you are connected to parity

@Joter85 maybe you need to await the call?
Joter85
@Joter85
Jun 06 2017 08:38
it doesn't execute
nor i get any errors...
how to debug this
Joter85
@Joter85
Jun 06 2017 08:44
it just awaits but no response
not even an error...

so mainly you are not connecting to parity then :)
have you enabled rpc in parity?
check if you can curl to it
Joter85
@Joter85
Jun 06 2017 08:47
i already have other process that is connected to parity via rpc
and i can execute rpc calls on it
just not sure what is wrong in this case
as i don't see any error or whatever info what is going on
it just nothing happens...

can you paste your test call here
not the full contract call
Joter85
@Joter85
Jun 06 2017 08:51
i run it on windows server, not linux
i have my own code that sends rpc calls directly to parity
don't have curl here
parity.exe --rpcport 8998 --rpcaddr 192.168.15.1
i run it on local network on other machine
and i connect to it var web3 = new Web3(""https://192.168.15.1:8998");
in docs there is no example configuration for parity...
or i can't find it
so i am not sure if its set ok
you can have a look here
also you can ask in the parity gitter

that is not an issue... as i already connect to it using few services
just not sure how to debug this
as i don't get any result back...
how can i know what is wrong then? :)
i would like to see an error or smth
Juan Blanco

you should get a result
a timeout if it cannot connect

http timesout eventually

    {
        var web3 = new Web3("https://192.168.15.1:8998");

        var x = await web3.Eth.Blocks.GetBlockNumber.SendRequestAsync();
