@wtlab glad you are sorted, i forgot to answer yesterday :)
@WhoAmIFacts_twitter if you are using infura you will need to getalllogs https://github.com/Nethereum/Nethereum.Workbooks/blob/master/docs/nethereum-eventdtos-getallchanges.workbook
or if you are connecting to your own node you can also use filters

@juanfranblanco hi, there is still something left) for example in my test ICO contract i have field uint256 public unitsOneEthCanBuy;
but this field is not required in the standard ERC20
optional

then regenerate the c# code from your abi
BUT if it does not comply to the standard it won't be able to be used by any exchange
"then regenerate the c# code from your abi" or ammend your extra function
mainly you need to add extra functions
and / or modify your constructor but not the interface

I mean what if that this is another ico, I just want to know the symbol and the price of one token, can I do it with only the address of their contract?
Juan Blanco
@juanfranblanco
Jun 08 2018 09:23
you are saying that you want to reuse the contract
you will mainly deploy it again and like you said use a different contract address
wtlab
@wtlab
Jun 08 2018 09:27
@juanfranblanco no, i don't want to reuse.
all I really want is to find out the name, the symbol, and the cost of the token (for some ICO), if I only have the address of the contract of this ICO
Juan Blanco
@juanfranblanco
Jun 08 2018 09:28
then add an extra function
or functions to the contract
wtlab
@wtlab
Jun 08 2018 09:29
it is not my contract)
Juan Blanco
@juanfranblanco
Jun 08 2018 09:29
well then you will need to store the cost somewhere else
you could store it in another contract
and have the address and the cost

Juan Blanco
@juanfranblanco
Jun 08 2018 09:31
well i don't know any other way if they don't advertise the price
also prices change all the time
not that i follow much the ico pricing stuff

@wtlab
Jun 08 2018 09:33
hmm.. and what about symbol?
Juan Blanco
@juanfranblanco
Jun 08 2018 09:33
some of the ERC20 contracts have the symbol and the number of decimal places
wtlab
@wtlab
Jun 08 2018 09:34
etherscan for example know name and symbol of every contracts
Juan Blanco
@juanfranblanco
Jun 08 2018 09:34
people register their contracts there
so if they don't have a name / symbol they will put there
idk i have not done it myself

@wtlab make the request with HttpWeb and then use Newtonsoft to turn parse the json into an array

I do so) I thought probably there is a method in nethereum. By the way, if we deserialize this response into a list of <Transaction> , we get an incorrect field "Value" - 0x as prefix to real value

hey I am using Nethereum.Portable (2.5.1) in my project. However, during runtime when I initialize Web3 client, it fails saying "Could not load file or assembly 'Newtonsoft.Json, Version=10.0.0.0 ...' ". I have Newtonsoft.Json Version 11.0.2 references in my project. Do you know what can be the possible problem and how I can resolve it
