Hey @DDamienP :) your logo is such a great start. colors, background and big hexagon. I think everyone really likes that. would you have time to stry some different iterations with the little patterns inside the big hexagon? like maybe using triangles instead, so that it looks less like a beehive? it's probably possible to make the shape of a brain with triangles inside this big hexagon

Connor (openBCI) shared on of his old logos with us. Could you try an iteration where you take brain inside the gear, and put it in your big hexagon? I think if you use triangles of different sizes to make this brain shape inside the hexagon, that could be interesting.

I think the small hexagons are a crucial part in the logo because they may represent the hexagon mindteaser game and are symbol of good engineering as the beehive.

what is the hexagon mindteaser game?

A kind of wooden puzzle and another is a board game

but what does it have to do with neurotech? apart from the fact that brain teasers are way to train your brain, I find the beehive a bit far fetched
also another problem to consider -regardless of the beehive - is that there are a lot of exagons and if you make the logo smaller that might be hard to see
like a favicon, or just a smaller logo
anyway. i was just asking for an additional iteration with something that looks more like a brain (like conor's logo). Just to see how it looks like. If it's ok with @DDamienP of course
brains :skull:

Of course
We should see what he'll give us. Im not a designer myself i just felt like the logo is a great repsentation of neurotechnology, it kinda matched. But u make a point with making it favicon it could dillute the whole picture...

Yes I agree. I am working on the neurotech website and I tried to reuse it for the favicon. I couldn't see anything
I am going to bed  good night montreal

Ok i'm gonna see what I can do and maybe with triangles we could creat something with more details. I'm working on it but i have an other idea too, I'll share with you as soon as possible

@marionleborgne : can you put an online version of your website maybe in /V2 or so... De cette manière Damien pourrait voir ce que ça donne dans en big picture :D

Hey everyone
jumping into the convo now
Are the small hexagons currently visible when the logo is shrunk down to favicon size?
Also, are there are Gitter groups under NeuroTechX? This is the only one I see

I like the idea of triangles a lot. Again, for me the triangles/hexagons all carry a very "Deux Ex"-ey connotation, which is one of the reasons I got into Neurotech in the first place hehe. Something more brainlike would be nice, but I really like that @DDamienP's initial design is symmetrical

There is one other channel called https://gitter.im/NeuroTechX/NeuroTechMTL
@Yannick-Roy Did you create one for SF and NY yet?

Yeah we'll put the list online on the website soon, it's very chaotic for the moment Conor... (both groups are still using Slack more than Gitter for their own convos).
NeuroTechMTL / TO / SF they have a "Join Chat" button
that leads straight to their community channels on Gitter
