Desrever
@desrever-nu
Exactly, and we don't have trezor listed under that heading
CoinGame
@CoinGame
i mean we don't have a trezor for Nu, but I think cold storate isn't exactly the best term either
i think offline wallets would be more apt for the section if I had to change it
Desrever
@desrever-nu
Yep that's better
you are right, I was not 100% convinced by cold storage either
CoinGame
@CoinGame
cool.
it's a good change
Sentinelrv
@Sentinelrv
Under docs it says Facebook, Reddit, YouTube and @OfficialNuBits. Shouldn't it just say Twitter?
CoinGame
@CoinGame
probably
cryptog
@cryptog
It would be great to have a glossary of terms such as deviation, tolerance , spread, discrepancy ...
cryptog
@cryptog
@desrever-nu right.

Unknown tier sell side dropping? Why?

I am based out of Japan. And this company (food delivery) founded in 1971 has a logo that looks similar to NuBits... http://www.nishihara-shokai.co.jp/business.html
Willy
@bananenwilly
lol that looks very alike
btw @cryptog, the channel NuNetwork/Nu would fit this kind of discussion better
cryptog
@cryptog
sure. @bananenwilly

https://docs.nubits.com/using-a-data-feed/ this page may need an update (fees addess) , if someone has a minute for it
CoinGame
@CoinGame
Dunno if i'll have time this week. I'll create an issue for it and if nobody gets to it next week i'll try to do the update.
Carlos Mora
@moracarlos
Hi everybody!
Do you have any start up docs for the nubits api?
Ben Rossi
@brossi
Hi @moracarlos -- you can get started with the documenation that is available at docs.nubits.com
If there's additional information that you need, feel free to ask it here and we'll try to get you an answer
Carlos Mora
@moracarlos
Thanks! I´m using that documentation, but I don´t know if the only way to access to nubits by code is from RPC, is there any other way? Like a REST service? @brossi
Carlos Mora
@moracarlos
That´s because I´m developing an app that uses nubits as a service, and I would like to know other way to access to the platform
Desrever
@desrever-nu
Hola carlos!
What kind of data would you like to access via REST?
Carlos Mora
@moracarlos
@desrever-nu Hola! Well, I'm building an app where I need to register various wallets, get all the information of every wallet, transfer and receive nubits, etc. Basically the same functions of the RPC API but accessing via web, or accessing via my app's source code
I know that RPC is usefull but I'm not totally sure of how to get all the info from a python script, for example. I don't know how to get addresses too. I'm just begining with nubits, so any information is usefull for me :smile: Thanks @desrever-nu
Desrever
@desrever-nu
no problem... I hope I can helo with what
Willy
@bananenwilly
des, hi
have you read my forum post? I need a ARM binary for bcex. you have one :)?
Desrever
@desrever-nu
I read it , I am trying to see if I can launch compilation now
;)
@moracarlos , if you are worried because you haven't interacted with an app via RPC before, I can assure you that its just as easy as REST.
Bitcoind RPC it's nothing more than http call with parameters passed as JSON
so you can send NBT with cURL
also remotely
;)
you can start with getinfo : download Nu, run nud, and then simply type
curl --user user --data-binary '{"jsonrpc": "1.0", "id":"curltest", "method": "getinfo", "params": [] }'
-H 'content-type: text/plain;' http://127.0.0.1:8332/
Desrever
@desrever-nu
the rpcport of your Nu daemon can be set in ~/.Nu/nu.conf
replace the method getinfo with whatever you find in the documentation and you are good to go
Carlos Mora
@moracarlos
@desrever-nu perfect, I will try it, thanks!
Carlos Mora
@moracarlos
Hi again! What does <account> mean (On the RPC docs)? I'm generating addressess and playing with this, but I don't fully understand what are the generated codes. Can anybody help me?
Willy
@bananenwilly
NuBits is a Peercoin derivate, which is a Bitcoin derivate
and Bitcoin has a build-in account system
you can assign addresses to specific accounts
