If you’re seeing a white screen in the HDK with SteamVR running, then that’s the SteamVR compositor. That’s a good thing. It means it’s ready to start a game.

ok, on the HDK there is a windows with white background and it is the second window from the tracker viewer app
so something is happening now

The tracker viewer window should stay on the main display, not the HDK.
Game windows can be dragged to the HDK. (They won’t be mirrored.)

If you switch back to the extended config file (with direct mode disabled), it should place the window there automatically.

Yeah. OSVR supports quite a few controllers already, but we don’t currently pass them along to SteamVR. It’s on my to do list.

Can it be linked relative to latest rather than absolute HEX firmware file ?

I need some help to run the D3DExample of the OSVR-Runtime in win7.
After installing OSVR-Runtime, I run the server and the tracker Viewer , and this is running normal.

But when I run the server then open D3DExample, it shows just a console and close it immediately .
And when I test the palace-demo, the appliaction run normal but has no distortion. And HDK keep black after Disable DirectMode.

The Getting Started page in the Docs currently says "There are two ways of getting the OSVR Server: the installer and build snapshots. Since the installer is not currently automatically updated, the best way is to download an OSVR Core snapshot" Is this still accurate, or is the new one-click installer automatically updated?
