    hmm...I hoped you will be the one able to dump v1 firmware for me, so I could use it under linux/osvr
    but generally v2 is more stable and maybe could fix your issues with nolo

    Hi everyone
    I don't know if this is the right channel but could I ask for some help?
    My HDK2 Built-in displays are not working/not listing as monitor on Device Manager (even on extended mode)
    I tried the all-in-one installers and manually from configuration tutorials I found on Reddit but to no success
    Should the HDK2 display as a monitor under device manager?
    I'm suspecting faulty hardware (I switched the HDMI cable for one I ensured is working, but nothing changed)
    niko20010
    @niko20010
    Probably the beltbox->HMD cable broke
    Good luck in that case, they were made by semsics which are out of business for a few Years now
    Sensics*
    And yes, in extended it should list AS a monitor
    Stupid autocorrecting phone keyboard

    I have the same problem as Fabio. Everything worked fine for maybe month. But now my HDK2 dont display as monitor under device manager. (In extendet or directmode). What is causing the problem with SteamVr giving 422 erorr... Trust me, its not harwdware or cables issue. My brother also have hdk2 and we checked all cables etc.
    Anyone know how to fix that? Please

    Hi everyone! I am newly interested in developing OSVR apps, but most community trails seem to end in 2016, such as https://github.com/OSVR , or as dead, such as http://www.osvr.org/. The developer newsletter signup is broken as well, it seems: https://osvr.github.io/mailing-lists/ . Am I missing something? Thanks and stay safe.
    Ryan A. Pavlik
    @rpavlik
    OSVR still works, but there's not really any active maintenance
    @bowring the latest way to make cross-device VR stuff is with OpenXR - khronos.org/openxr
    Sensics, who was contracted by Razer to start it, and who maintained it for most of its life, has been out of business for a few years
    Ryan A. Pavlik
    @rpavlik
    I still do open-source VR, but am focused on OpenXR now (which was strongly influenced by OSVR, as well as by SteamVR and the Oculus APIs)

    has there been anything else to replace headset drivers? i've switched to linux and afaik osvr is the only thing that could support my wmr headset
    Ryan A. Pavlik
    @rpavlik
    wait, what? How did you use OSVR with your WinMR headset?
    SArpnt
    @SArpnt
    sorry am i mixing this up with something else?
    Ryan A. Pavlik
    @rpavlik
    Monado - https://monado.freedesktop.org - can let you run OpenXR apps using the OpenHMD driver, but it's orientation-only
    SArpnt
    @SArpnt
    oh yeah sorry was thinking of openhmd
    not sure why i'm even in this gitter then
    Ryan A. Pavlik
    @rpavlik
    lol
    no worries
    come over to the Monado discord :)
    SArpnt
    @SArpnt
    oh wait i think i know i think i was using a bunch of different software like osvr, openhmd, some eyetoy tracker thing and such to try and get a dk1 to be a usable headset
    never acutally worked like i wanted it to
    Ryan A. Pavlik
    @rpavlik
    ah yeah
    I know the feeling
    SArpnt
    @SArpnt
    i still have the ping pong balls i bought
    Ryan A. Pavlik
    @rpavlik
    ah, for like a ps-move style tracking? I have some code in Monado for that now actually
    SArpnt
    @SArpnt
    no i don't need that anymore i don't think i even have that headset
    i just replaced it since i could never get that setup to work i just have the wmr headset now
    Ryan A. Pavlik
    @rpavlik
    ah yeah
    SArpnt
    @SArpnt
    from what i know all it really needs to work is positional tracking
    is there something with that i don't know about?
    i could print those tracker qr code looking things
    Ryan A. Pavlik
    @rpavlik
    "all it needs" is SLAM tracking, which was considered impossible to do fast enough back in 2014...
    you're welcome to pitch in
    yeah, you could do a marker-based tracking too instead of full slam, probably easier
    SArpnt
    @SArpnt
    i'm a programmer but i have no idea how to work with video properly if i did know how i would probably try to help with that
    i feel like i would at least be able to track controllers relative to headset

    @ForNextSoftwareDevelopment

    Finally picked it up where I left off.
    I have the coordinate system of the Hdk2 integrated in my own little 3dEngine now ;-)
    So if you want to have a go at developing your own you could take a look at:

    https://github.com/ForNextSoftwareDevelopment/3dEngine

    Main thing is to translate the quaternion to a rotation matrix that you can use in the openGL shader.
    If there are any questions about the program I will be happy to answer them.

    Best regards,
    Dirk.
