    hello, me and and a group of students at the south-eastern university of Norway who are working on our bachelor project. for the project we are thinking of creating an app extension for Teams that will allow users to select between a wide range of cameras to display as a screensharing system. this app needs to make it possible for users to zoom and change cameras, is this feasible with teams app integration?

    Hi team ,
    I am a developer. We are going to create a connector in Microsoft Teams. So need some instructions in regards.
    I have watched the video on how to integrate the App, followed the steps. Everything goes smoothly until I reached the part when I should configure my Connector in Microsoft Teams App (I would kindly ask you to check the video I have recorded https://www.loom.com/share/5f8047a776fd4426bf4cf0d564d9bdf2). When selecting Configure in your connector section I do not have the same next step results as shown in video tutorial ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EtMOuBi82LI&t=4002s ).
    Instead of getting My first teams connector configuration page, I get a modal with a "visit site and install" message. After clicking on the link I am redirected to a connector config page that doesn't have Microsoft Teams context.
    I would appreciate you looking into this issue and providing a way to successfully create a new connector.
    Regards.

    Hey

    We'd like to create a MS Teams App via embed our application into a personal tab. The policy mentions that we should avoid "embedding the entire application" but we wanted to know how strict this advise is? Does anyone know if this is it an advisory or mandatory policy?

    Hello, we have a Teams Personal App with a Tab linking to https://outlook.office.com. Created using the teams Developer Center, so no custom Code was used.
    Some of our Users only get a blank Page when using the App in Teams client (probably a problem with MFA). When we add the url into a normal website tab inside Teams, Outlook displays as intendet and even the users with the authentication problems in the personal app can use Outlook inside the tab. Any suggestions as to why it works in a normal tab and not in a TeamsPersonal App Tab? Shouldn't it be the same functionality since both solutions use Teams Tab?

    Hi all, I have an app in the Teams app store. I am adding a new feature that requires supportsFiles to change from false to true in the manifest. I'm running into an issue where if I release the code, the feature will appear for all users but only work for the users with the latest manifest. If I could determine the app version in the context.adapter or context.activity in botbuilder I could hide the new UI from users on the old manifest. Is there a way to tell what version of the app is in use by the tenant without having them login and calling graph? Any guidance around issues like this? Much thanks!

    Hi everyone,

    I'm looking to create a teams bot in NodeJS and I have a question regarding side-loading a valid manifest in the teams developer portal. I've also attempted to validate it against teams developer manifest package validation tool: https://dev.teams.microsoft.com/appvalidation.html. I've stripped the manifest.json down to the bare minimum:

    {

     "$schema": "https://developer.microsoft.com/json-schemas/teams/v1.12/MicrosoftTeams.schema.json",

     "manifestVersion": "1.12",

     "version": "1.0.0",

     "id": ""{MS_APP_ID}"",

     "developer": {

     "name": "dev-bot",

     "websiteUrl": "",

     "privacyUrl": "",

     "termsOfUseUrl": ""

     },

     "icons": {

     "outline": "outline.png",

     "color": "color.png"

     },

     "name": {

     "short": "Test Bot",

     "full": "Test Bot"

     },

     "description": {

     "short": "Test Bot",

     "full": "Test Bot"

     },

     "accentColor": "#FFFFFF"

    }

    However it fails validation. Here's the description of the error message from the validator:

    "Provided add-in package was not understood. Please, make sure that the file being submitted is a valid Office add-in package. Learn to fix it"

    Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

    Hi @everyone , can anyone please help me this problem
    Aim : We need to achieve simultaneous recording and integration of audio with our video. Our function "startRecording" does this effortlessly for us. But this function is being used in desktop and web versions .
    Problem: As in teams, we need to custom invoke the function "captureMedia" to take recording permissions, what this function does is that after the positive permissions it starts recording automatically without giving us space to call our startRecording function and hence ultimately preventing the video-audio sync.
    What we need: We need a way so that we can either call startRecording once we get positive permissions from the captureMedia instead of its default behaviour or a way to sync the audio-video with the recording which is being done by captureMedia. Thanks

    Is there a MS Teams developer evangelist or person you can talk to and ask a few of capability questions?

    My client wants to develop an In-Meeting app for Teams that:
    1) interrupts the flow of a teams call with a pre-flight check
    2) forces their specific side bar/ In-Meeting tab to stay open (or if it's not visible, we need to be able to know that)
    3) disable the ability to send direct messages in the chat feature
    4) force a post meeting question before closing the application

    I feel like some of these changes may be an overreach of a tab app. I have read this https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/platform/apps-in-teams-meetings/design/designing-apps-in-meetings and gone through the normal set up to making apps for Teams and that's all pretty straightforward but I'm not familiar enough to know if the above capabilities are possible as they don't seem to things that people do with it currently.

    Happy to be directed somewhere if this isn't the right forum to ask.

    Thanks!

    Hello guys. Thanks so much for your help :pray: . I've been going through your documentation without being able to figure out wether it's possible to interact with the message before it is sent.

    I'd like to display a popup with an <iframe> to an external url which has some query parameters. Those parameters are taken from the message the user is currently writing, including the subject, content with html, attachments, etc. The user would use the content displayed in the popup to validate the message before they hit the send button.

    Is this possible by any chance?

    Hi all,

    Hope you are doing well.

    I am Sellina from Microsoft Pre-sales team. I am working with a critical partner and need to publish their solution soon.

    Issue:

    Now we have an issue with the MS bot service.
    Currently, we are building a bot system.
    The flow is below.

    When a user sends a message to the teams bot, we will receive a request containing message info on the message end-point.
    The message endpoint is registered on the azure portal.

    We use the message end-point to detect and handle new messages.
    Recently, we have a demand that not only should we detect new messages but also should detect edit and delete behaviors on existing messages.
    We tried to detect the edit behavior on our message end-point, but could not wait for any requests coming in on message endpoint.
    So we want to know that is there any way to detect users' edit behavior on their already sent bot-message?
    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/875460/can-bot-service-message-endpoint-receive-an-reques.html

    Next Action Plan:

    Need teams support for updated messages

    Hi all. I'm developing a messaging extension app using the Teams Toolkit following examples in the docs. The app is pretty simple, all it really does is call a third party API and returns results. Everything works fine when debugging, but as soon as I try to deploy the app it fails to function, returning a 502 error when the search query is executed. I've tried adding AllowedDomains to the app manifest with no luck, and I'm not sure where else to turn now.
    Anyone have any ideas why I'm seeing the 502 in prod, but not local? Thanks.
