vijisrk
@vijisrk
can someone help
Santhosh Reddy
@santhu210
@vijisrk You need to send all the params in post params. For a POST request, params are read from request body and not from the query params(appended in the URL).
vijisrk
@vijisrk
public string Get(int action_id, string from_user_id, string to_user_id, string amt, string commission_percent)
{
        using (WebClient webClient = new WebClient())
        {
            webClient.Headers[HttpRequestHeader.ContentType] = "application/x-www-form-urlencoded";
            var reqparm = new System.Collections.Specialized.NameValueCollection();
            Int32 unixTimestamp = (Int32)(DateTime.UtcNow.Subtract(new DateTime(1970, 1, 1))).TotalSeconds;
            reqparm.Add("action_id", action_id.ToString());
            reqparm.Add("api_key", "1fc0a706c26f9fa7cd3c");
            reqparm.Add("request_timestamp", unixTimestamp.ToString());
            reqparm.Add("from_user_id", from_user_id);
            reqparm.Add("to_user_id", to_user_id);
            reqparm.Add("amount", amt.ToString());
            reqparm.Add("commission_percent", commission_percent.ToString());

            string address1 = "https://sandboxapi.ost.com/v1.1/transactions/";
            string address2 = "/transactions/?action_id=" + action_id.ToString()+ "&amount=" + amt.ToString() + "&api_key=1fc0a706c26f9fa7cd3c" + "&commission_percent"  + commission_percent.ToString()  + " &from_user_id=" + from_user_id + "&request_timestamp=" + unixTimestamp.ToString() + "&to_user_id=" + to_user_id;

            reqparm.Add("signature", sha256(address2));
            byte[] response1 = webClient.UploadValues(address1, "POST", reqparm);

            string s = webClient.Encoding.GetString(response1);

            return s;
        }

    }
@santhu210 i'm using post method to call the request
Santhosh Reddy
@santhu210
@vijisrk, could you please send us the complete response you're getting? It would help us narrow down to the error.
Alpesh Modi
@alpeshvmodi
@vijisrk, It can also be a signature creation issue. Please refer to signQueryParams method(Line No. 216) in https://github.com/OpenSTFoundation/ost-sdk-java/blob/v1.1.0/src/main/java/com/ost/lib/OSTRequestClient.java
This is from our official Java SDK.

@mertsuslu As of now, OST KIT is in private alpha. Only a limited set of whitelisted emails are allowed to access Kit during our POC challenges. You can subscribe to our mailing list for latest news from us and we shall let you know when the next challenge is going to start.

@shlokgilda does this mean there is going to be an alpha iv challenge? as I had to choose between two ideas this time and run with one, would be nice to do the other one in the future.

@shlokgilda
@majick777 We will have an Alpha IV challenge, however, the dates haven't been decided yet.

Hell - I am wondering what I might need to do to talk to the OST blockchain with web3.js
Also how to deploy a smart contract to OST chain...
falkonprods
@falkonprods
^^ meant Hello :)
Deepesh Kumar Nath
@deepesh-kn

@falkonprods, In order to talk to OST blockchain, it will be same as how we do it with ropsten or mainnet.
You will need to sync with the auxiliary chain.
To be able to sync with the UC and also deploy contracts to it, you will need to install the following.

geth - https://github.com/ethereum/go-ethereum/wiki/Installing-Geth
eth - https://www.ethereum.org/cli
solc - http://solidity.readthedocs.io/en/v0.4.24/installing-solidity.html
wget - https://www.gnu.org/software/wget/

To sync the utility chain you can refer the attached document
EN-Step1-OpenSTUtilityChainSync-170818-2341.pdf
To deploy the contract you can refer this document.
EN-Step2-OpenSTUtilityChainContractsDeployment-170818-2342.pdf

:D looks like a common question; could be a useful piece of info to put on the registering page (unless of course it's an elaborate trick to increase gitter traffic ;)
well, I was looking forward to evaluate OST but I'll leave that until it's ready for public beta, then. @ashfaqb thanks for clarification
Qpaxx
@Qpaxx
can I make a suggestion? when i post execute transaction, i need to to retrieve transaction to get status, but time interval is unknown (i need to repeat it until get status complete or failed). These repeated requests can load the system and it would be good if, in response to the "Execute Transaction", the answer in the response contained a parameter with an approximate time for confirming transaction (block calculation time * how blocks need to calc trans). And POST "Retrieve Tranasction" the minimum after the time specified in this parameter.
Or can it be easer?
Daniel
@danieldeloretta
i think it was mentioned previously that a transaction takes about 2-3 seconds
Qpaxx
@Qpaxx
@danieldeloretta but In the future, when the load increases, does this value remain the same?
majick777
@majick777
@Qpaxx I think this is an excellent suggestion, knowing the time more nearly can save on repeat polling and thus delays for the end user in knowing the result of their transaction. a few beta testers have mentioned the delay as being an annoyance as far as user experience goes, so keeping this to a minimum would be a plus for any app implementing OST. it might become unnecessary in the future, but in the meanwhile would certainly be a bonus.
