@heyitsmeuralex
it's really cool
We should probably disable a bunch of features before we release(ish)
because we have a bunch of half-complete things
MegaApuTurkUltra
@MegaApuTurkUltra
lol, or finish what's still slated for release
James
@The-Cheese-Eater
I'm going to put up what we have to stir up some interest
The report feature is my main concern
James
@The-Cheese-Eater
I've put the SendGrid API key in .env, but when I create an account this error appears in the console:
24 Oct 12:14:45 - warn: Cannot send email; SendGrid gave statusCode 400
{ statusCode: 400,
  body: '{"errors":[{"message":"Following RFC 1341, section 7.2, if either text/html or text/plain are to be sent in your email: text/plain needs to be first, followed by text/html, followed by any other content.","field":"content","help":null}]}',
  headers:
   { server: 'nginx',
     date: 'Mon, 24 Oct 2016 12:14:45 GMT',
     'content-type': 'application/json',
     'content-length': '237',
     connection: 'close',
     'x-frame-options': 'DENY' } }
MegaApuTurkUltra
@MegaApuTurkUltra
Just flip the order of the html and text versions of the emails then
James
@The-Cheese-Eater
I've swapped around text and html in utils/email.js so it looks like this: sendMail(to, subject, text, html)

@The-Cheese-Eater
No console errors now, but I'm not receiving any emails either

@The-Cheese-Eater
Possibly due to sendgrid. No emails are showing up in their 'sent emails' metric
alex
@heyitsmeuralex
:(
James
@The-Cheese-Eater
Hurrah! Turns out that SendGrid metrics are not real time; the 3 emails requested had been sent. I didn't see them because they were redirected to Bulk Mail.
Don't seem to be getting a HTML email though
alex
@heyitsmeuralex
I'd say don't send the text/plain form if we can then, you changing the argument order must've confused it
i.e. we already had sendMail("your.mother@hotmail.net", "Hello?", "<b>html</b>", "text")
which is sending "text" as the html
alex
@heyitsmeuralex
@The-Cheese-Eater you're being too fancy in these issues
alex
@heyitsmeuralex
i think we should stop discussing
and contribute some
@liam4 ;P
James
@The-Cheese-Eater
I'll change it back again tomorrow. :P
MegaApuTurkUltra
@MegaApuTurkUltra
and change the argument order back :P
James
@The-Cheese-Eater
Great, all working with HTML email. :D
James
@The-Cheese-Eater
How is https enabled?
Florrie
@towerofnix
Probably code.
alex
@heyitsmeuralex
^
@The-Cheese-Eater try this
Andrew
@andrewjcole
Why is the IE compatibility issue closed?
James
@The-Cheese-Eater
@nanalan Where do I need to put that?
alex
@heyitsmeuralex
server.js?
you'll have to hook it into express
James
@The-Cheese-Eater
Can't see a server.js file..?
alex
@heyitsmeuralex
um
idek the codebase
James
@The-Cheese-Eater
main.js?
alex
@heyitsmeuralex
server/index|main|server.js
something like that.
James
@The-Cheese-Eater
Well, I've tried sticking it in main.js already to no avail
Here:

console.info("Load took " + ((Date.now() - startLoad)/1000) + " secs")

db.load().then(function() {
  const port = process.env.server_port || 3000

  app.listen(port, function() {
    console.log('Listening on https://' + process.env.hostname + ':' + port + ' ' + tada)
  })
})
