@mapeveri
Hi @cristobalmedinalopez , i am running this three commands

Shell 1: Run the splitter
./splitter --source_addr 150.214.150.68 --source_port 4551 --splitter_port 8001 --channel BBB-134.ogv --header_size 30000

Shell 2: Run a monitor peer
./monitor --splitter_addr 127.0.0.1 --splitter_port 8001

Shell 3: Run a player
vlc http://localhost:9999

Cristóbal Medina López
@cristobalmedinalopez
:worried:
The commands are correct.
I can't understand why the source_endpoint in your monitor's screenshot is 127.0.0.1 instead of 150.214.150.68...
Any idea @vicente-gonzalez-ruiz ?
Cristóbal Medina López
@cristobalmedinalopez
@mapeveri Wait a moment, there is another wrong information in your screenshot. For example, channel=BBB.ogv instead of channel=BBB-134.ogv
Could you ensure that you are running the previous commands? It sounds really weird.
Martín Peveri
@mapeveri
@cristobalmedinalopez right now execute

./splitter --source_addr 150.214.150.68 --source_port 4551 --splitter_port 8001 --channel BBB.ogv --header_size 30000

Shell 2: Run a monitor peer
./monitor --splitter_addr 127.0.0.1 --splitter_port 8001

Shell 3: Run a player
vlc http://localhost:9999

I changed the command splitter
And now i have one response in the server
image.png
:(
Sorry for the inconvenience
Cristóbal Medina López
@cristobalmedinalopez
The right channel is BBB-134.ogv but in your screenshot another channel appears. So, I guess that there is an error in the command that you ran.
BBB.ogv doesn't exist, so it's the reason of that 404 error code.

Hey! I've successfully build the P2PSP on my system and everything is working fine. So please guide me through how to proceed @cristobalmedinalopez and what are the next steps ?
Cristóbal Medina López
@cristobalmedinalopez
Hi @sachinsngh165 Great! One of the projects we are working on is the P2PSP Simulator (https://github.com/P2PSP/simulator). We use it to prototype new features in an easy way. It is written in Python. A good idea could be take a look to the project and try to collaborate improving it. Some of more interesting issues to resolve are: P2PSP/simulator#13 and P2PSP/simulator#9
Thanks!

Hello everyone I wish to contribute to P2PSP for GSoC where do I begin?
Cristóbal Medina López
@cristobalmedinalopez
Hi @Glitchfix Welcome to the P2PSP project! We always recommend test the protocol by running a P2PSP local team in your system. https://github.com/P2PSP/I-want-to-use-it

Hello Everyone, My name is Rupesh Harode.I am a third year Electronics Student interested in doing a project under P2PSP.Please recommend me on how to get familiar with the protocol?
Cristóbal Medina López
@cristobalmedinalopez
Hi @firedranzer welcome to the P2PSP project!
Our first recommendation is to read about the protocol and try to run a local team (see instructions at https://github.com/P2PSP/I-want-to-use-it)

Shivanjan Chakravorty
@Glitchfix
Did you download Boost using package manager or the make file?
Rupesh Harode
@techytoes
I tried both ways but ended up with the same problem
Vicente González Ruiz
@vicente-gonzalez-ruiz
@firedranzer, please, can you say which version of boost have you used?
Shivanjan Chakravorty
@Glitchfix
@firedranzer try sudo ./make.py for a change I faced this problem on one of my friend's computer. sudo happened to solve it.
Rupesh Harode
@techytoes
Ok let me check this on my PC
Shivanjan Chakravorty
@Glitchfix
and make sure you have libboost 1.63.0 installed while doing so
Rupesh Harode
@techytoes
@Glitchfix I tried with sudo but nothing seem to change.
Also, does this seem to affect?
  MACOSX_RPATH is not specified for the following targets:

   p2psp
Shivanjan Chakravorty
@Glitchfix
install this
Install Boost 1.63.0
wget https://sourceforge.net/projects/boost/files/boost/1.63.0/boost_1_63_0.tar.bz2/download
tar xvjf download
cd boost_1_63_0
./bootstrap.sh
./b2 install
This should solve your problem you are just facing a version issue I suppose
Rupesh Harode
@techytoes
ok let me try. thanks for the help
Shivanjan Chakravorty
@Glitchfix
Does it work?
Rupesh Harode
@techytoes
no still stuck on the same error
Shivanjan Chakravorty
@Glitchfix
do a clean install after this
