@atd
Please open two issues in swellrt github repo
Prastut Kumar
@prastut
Okay cool.
Antonio Tapiador
@atd
@prastut I will have intermittent and not reliable connection. If you want me to review your GSoC, please submit it asap ;-)
Your GSoC submission I mean
Prastut Kumar
@prastut
I just came back from another exam. Will do the needful today asap. ;)
Antonio Tapiador
@atd
Great!
How was the exam? Was it hard to combine it with GSoC? :grimacing:
Prastut Kumar
@prastut
Yeah it's a little hard, but I made sure I was regular in the classes to focus on GSoC in my free time as much as I can. Right now all I want to do is contribute to the project, but my hands are tied. Need them marks also. :p
Antonio Tapiador
@atd
:-)
Prastut Kumar
@prastut
All in all, how do you feel about our project. I know you expected much more, still wanted to know what you felt of our entire experience working together.
Antonio Tapiador
@atd
We finished your recommendation letter. You will like it ;-) Samer received an email from the Globalink Program. Is he expected to uploaded it or do you want him to email it to you?
Prastut Kumar
@prastut
I think Samer is supposed to attach it on his end. You can also email it to me, for future purposes if you feel it's right.
Yay!
Antonio Tapiador
@atd
I am a little disappointed we don't have anything visible yet, but I understand it is a hard challenge, with many parts and different technologies involved. I feel very good from your side, I think you have been very responsive, always trying to solve the problems and very active. We have communicated a lot
I would like to hear some feedback from your side also ;-)
Prastut Kumar
@prastut
We have a GSoC 2016 group on Facebook and almost every guy there has some problems with the mentors not replying and not being able to communicate properly. And I was like "Whaa?" my mentors are super amazing. You and the teem members gave me just the right amount of mentorship, not too much otherwise their's no learning, not too less otherwise I get stuck. And god I have stuck a lot, since there are so many moving parts in the project. So all in all, my experience was quite enriching and positive. I learnt a lot of good coding practise just by reading Teem's code, which is respect from my side. The automation with Gulp+docker+Travis CI was new and I will be investigating how to integrate them with my project's too, because they are super sweet. Initially I was a scared a lot, since I proposed something which I am not comfortable with. But you guys gave me the freedom and the support too. For eg: if you guys hadn't connected me with the NLP dudes in UCM, I would have never landed on NLTK , never had learnt Python in depth and never would get the opportunity to speak as a speaker in Pycon conference. This wouldn't have been possible without the nurturing experience you guys gave me, specially you Tapi. You have earned a lifelong friend in me, even though it's not my place to say. :D.
And yes we have communicated a lot. :D
I am disappointed too. It's like you worked so hard, but you can't show anybody anything of the work you did. Therefore full burners on, after my exam completes.
Antonio Tapiador
@atd
Awesome! I feel very happy it was enriching for you. That's one of the main points of this in my opinion, besides there is improvement on Teem. I would be very happy if we continue the collaboration in the future, in Teem or any other project we might coincide :-)
Prastut Kumar
@prastut
Yes! Obviously. :D

@/all since Tapi is on vacations, please can you review the above blogpost. It has to be accoding to GSoC guidelines. https://developers.google.com/open-source/gsoc/help/work-product

@llopv
Ok @prastut tomorrow I give you my feedback

David Llop
@llopv
@atfornes can you give also your feedback?
Antonio Tapiador
@atd
@prastut I find the post ok
Maybe I would also add this gitter channel, where most of the discussion has happened
I would also be aware that commits are linked to the staging branch, which is unstable
I would make a new branch, or merge them to master
Prastut Kumar
@prastut
Can I make a PR of staging to master with just my commits?
Prastut Kumar
@prastut
@atd will add the gitter channel also.
Antonio Tenorio-Fornés
@atfornes
@prastut, I have read the article and I found it complete and interesting. I am really glad than the experience was enriching for you and I believe that you have done a great job involving a lot of different challenges, thank you for participating in Teem.
Also, thanks @atd for mentoring @prastrut in such an enriching way, it has been inspiring for me to see this learning and participation proccess.
Prastut Kumar
@prastut
@atfornes thank you so much for the kind words.
And if you guys can hold a small celebration for @atd it would be amazing. :beers:
Prastut Kumar
@prastut
Hi guys!
I have just finished wrapping up my university exams and will start contributing back to Teem. @atd how should we go about it? In the meanwhile, I just approached few NLP professors today in my college, and setup some meetings in the coming week.
Antonio Tenorio-Fornés
@atfornes
Hi @prastut, we are trying to run your project for evaluation, but we cannot find the installation an usage instructions in your repository
can you please help me to understand how to install and run the project?
thank you
Prastut Kumar
@prastut
@atfornes I am so sorry. I feel stupid right now for not sending across installation instructions. Give me a day to write up the instructions, I am travelling right now to my home town for PyCon. I am extremely sorry for this delay.
Antonio Tenorio-Fornés
@atfornes
Ok @prastut, make sure that all the features that you have developed are easily observed also in the README, specially the new summarization and image classification
Prastut Kumar
@prastut
@atfornes okay. https://github.com/P2Pvalue/teem-tag/blob/swellrt-contest/installation.MD <- this is not complete any opinions and changes you would like in an preliminary scan?
Cuz then I will take your opinions and reshape the README and complete it.
Antonio Tenorio-Fornés
@atfornes
Yes, I want to see the summary and Image categorization in action
If you have the front end with the tags developed it would be nice to see it too
It would be great to have most of the steps of that README runned by gulp
but I understand it is difficult
Prastut Kumar
@prastut
Hmm this period is crazy right now here. Internships + projects + research work + PyCon. I almost got tired by writing the README, and I can perfectly understand your worry.
I will try my best to get all your points inside the module.
