@Kingoliver11_twitter: That looks like an error with OpenRCT2, not with the launcher. Please go to https://gitter.im/OpenRCT2/OpenRCT2 for help.

Can someone explain what is being asked of me with LRFLEW/OpenRCT2Launcher#22 ? I feel like I'm missing something here

@Nubbie
Automatic updates of the game - settings to check for new updates and how frequently (being able to update OpenRct2 via launcher)
If you already have it implanted- feedback :)

@jensj12
-I think with 'same version' he means same network version (bad idea to only update to new network versions IMO) -Not only update OpenRCT2, but also the launcher.
@satdav Go to the Options window and tell me what it says the version of the launcher is?
Rune Laenen
@runelaenen
Yes, it has a link at the bottom to that page :p
David Weir
@satdav
0.0.5
LRFLEW
@LRFLEW
Hm, that is the old version number. You grabbed it from here, right? Which one are you using (Windows, Mac or Linux? 64-bit or 32-bit? Zip or Installer?)
David Weir
@satdav
Installer for Windows
and yes from the github page
LRFLEW
@LRFLEW
Not the x86 one, right?
David Weir
@satdav
I have done both
How do I know what installer I am using at present
I am on a 64 bit machine
LRFLEW
@LRFLEW
The 32-bit one has "x86" in the installer exe's name
David Weir
@satdav
I am re doing the installer file
I have fixed it
_
It might of been due to me running the installer the same time
LRFLEW
@LRFLEW
It says 0.0.6 in the options window now?
David Weir
@satdav
Yes 0.0.6
It seems the quick link is taking me to the 0.0.5
but the installer for its taking me to the 0.0.6
well once I type it in to find it
LRFLEW
@LRFLEW
quick link?
David Weir
@satdav
On the bottem of the screen
LRFLEW
@LRFLEW
Oh, ok. That's interesting. Sounds like there may be a small issue with the installer not setting up the start menu link properly. I can look into that.
David Weir
@satdav
Hi got a error with the Launcher
@LRFLEW is that a known issue I am using the default steam location
LRFLEW
@LRFLEW
It looks like a problem with the Steam installation. It's complaining about a missing file. Can you find that file yourself?
David Weir
@satdav
Never herd of that file
LRFLEW
@LRFLEW
It's part of the RCT2 installation
David Weir
@satdav
Nope cant see it
I will try and re install it
LRFLEW
@LRFLEW
Sounds like a broken installation then. Reinstalling RCT2 should do it (with steam, you can verify the integrity to do the same thing).
David Weir
@satdav
I am deleting the locale copy then start again
I am also installing PLanet Coaster
David Weir
@satdav
Got it working thanks PS I reinstalled it vie Steam

@Broxzier
When this happens, I'm forced to wait 30 seconds until the Play button can be pressed. Could a "Cancel update" button be added, so that one can play right away?
LRFLEW
@LRFLEW
Can you open an issue for it so I can keep track of it? Or maybe put it with the "force update button" issue, as they'd probably be related.

Does the launcher still list build numbers like 2789? If so, this needs to die.
