Oh, ok. That's interesting. Sounds like there may be a small issue with the installer not setting up the start menu link properly. I can look into that.

It looks like a problem with the Steam installation. It's complaining about a missing file. Can you find that file yourself?

Sounds like a broken installation then. Reinstalling RCT2 should do it (with steam, you can verify the integrity to do the same thing).

When this happens, I'm forced to wait 30 seconds until the Play button can be pressed. Could a "Cancel update" button be added, so that one can play right away?

Sorry, sorry sorry, I realized quite recently that I pushed the change to git, but never made the release for it. Once I get Qt updated in the builds, I'll roll out a release to get this settled once and for all.
