So I'm finding the program super useful, I also see that I have a ton of manga/doujins that I have to rename and move to more appropriate folders once they get their metadata queried. How do you suggest dealing with a doujin or manga whose file (either a zip or rar) or entire folder has changed?
Should I change it, delete them from Happy Panda X and rescan?

Anyone has any experience configuring the external reader on linux? For Mcomix I can't find a way to make HappypandaX start it, I've also tried YACReader, which did boot but it crashes as soon as I touch the keyboard for any command.

hello, can somebody explain to me how to setup postgresql server ? with sqlite it is very slow, and postgresql is faster, but gives me lots of errors like :
: happypanda.common.exceptions.CommandError: [CommandError|120]: Command(174) has failed with: [HappypandaError|100]: ProgrammingError((psycopg2.errors.SyntaxError) ERREUR: erreur de syntaxe sur ou près de « PRAGMA »
LINE 1: PRAGMA foreign_keys=1;
or

: sqlalchemy.exc.ProgrammingError: (psycopg2.errors.SyntaxError) ERREUR: erreur de syntaxe sur ou près de « PRAGMA »
LINE 1: PRAGMA foreign_keys=1;
^

@Pakloust Hello, the external reader works by opening a program with a path to the manga on disk. I took a look at Mcomix's command-line args, and it doesn't look like it supports opening files from the command line?
Pakloust
@Pakloust
On terminal I can do it fine.
The issue with mcomix, I guess, is that it doesn't have an executable, it's terminal run.
I tried to point to my terminal and have it run mcomix with the arguments to no use
Twiddly
@twiddli
What command args are you using?
Pakloust
@Pakloust
I tried /usr/bin/xfce4-terminal + -execute mcomix
The + it's the args line
Twiddly
@twiddli
but that just opens mcomix, right? how do you make it open with a specific file?
Pakloust
@Pakloust
Ah
Just "mcomix ./filepath" is fine
I only need to take care to quote when the path has spaces
I did also try to point it to the mcomix.desktop, with no use
Twiddly
@twiddli
does mcomix accept archive files?
gallery:
    external_image_viewer: mcomix
    send_extracted_archive: false
    send_path_to_first_file: false
try this
Pakloust
@Pakloust
It does accept archived files
I'll try
Also, the happypandax_gui seems to disappear after a while
The process still runs but I can't bring the GUI up, it's not even hidden in the taskbar
Twiddly
@twiddli
Does that happen consistently?
Pakloust
@Pakloust
Yes
Twiddly
@twiddli
I'll try and update the gui library being used for the next version
Pakloust
@Pakloust
And yea, those settings didn't bring up mcomix here
Twiddly
@twiddli
Can you check your logs for any lines like Failed to open gallery with external viewer:
or Alternatively, enable debug, try again, and look for lines like Opening gallery, External viewer: and External args:
Pakloust
@Pakloust
I have debug on yea
Lessee
Oh
the gui died on me
Twiddly
@twiddli
just look for the debug.log file
Pakloust
@Pakloust
Do you need a bigger cut of the log?
Twiddly
@twiddli
So, if you write mcomix "/mnt/Extella/Manga/!Artbooks/!Ashima/(C97) [flourish(Ashima)] DO AS I DO.zip" it will work?
Pakloust
@Pakloust
No
It needs to be ' '
Twiddly
@twiddli
single qoutes? so mcomix '/mnt/Extella/Manga/!Artbooks/!Ashima/(C97) [flourish(Ashima)] DO AS I DO.zip' works?
Pakloust
@Pakloust
Yes
Twiddly
@twiddli
hmm.. that's such a weird requirement, is it mcomix posing this restriction, or your terminal?
Pakloust
@Pakloust
I should've states earlier, but I'm running Manjaro Linux, with XFCE gui
I am using a pt-br locale, so maybe it's my locale
Twiddly
@twiddli
HPX is using the standard library to send the commands, it really has no control over whether it's double or single qoutes being used
Pakloust
@Pakloust
It should be no issue
If I right click on a .zip and have it run with mcomix it opens
Pakloust
@Pakloust
I guess I'm out of luck then?
Twiddly
@twiddli
Hmm.. I'm really not sure what you could do. If the single-quote restriction is posed by mcomix then I suggest using a different reader.
