Following the maintenance process for the 1.6 version, we just released the PrestaShop 1.6.1.12 version!

there is none inside listings, quite strange

@dave-lw
@inetbiz check pm
@123monsite-regis i think i read about someone that said it didnt work when there were attributes on the product... so ...
as far as it not existing i dunno...
you in catalog mode ? :D
123monsite-regis
@123monsite-regis
no, we are not, we search the cheapiest equivalent of old 1.6
<a class="button ajax_add_to_cart_button btn btn-default" href="{$link->getPageLink('cart', true, NULL, $smarty.capture.default, false)|escape:'html':'UTF-8'}" rel="nofollow" title="{l s='Add to cart'}" data-id-product-attribute="{$product.id_product_attribute|intval}" data-id-product="{$product.id_product|intval}" data-minimal_quantity="{if isset($product.product_attribute_minimal_quantity) && $product.product_attribute_minimal_quantity >= 1}{$product.product_attribute_minimal_quantity|intval}{else}{$product.minimal_quantity|intval}{/if}">
                                    <span>{l s='Add to cart'}</span>
                                </a>
i fact,, we have no bug just a "how to do this " :)
( product inside any listing)

@123monsite-regis I confirm that the "add to cart" button is not in 1.7 and I want it too.

Hello there, could someone point me in the right direction to edit the classic theme in Prestashop ? I am editing the files in _dev dir and nothing happens... I suppose I need to compile something ? Is there any true step by step tut ? thx

@shelghost
Hello. Another question... how would you deal with a brand that has around 10 real shops in France (no online sales for the moment) with differents prices and promotions but one database ? Their actual website has a dropdown menu at it's first page to choose location and then all the contents change accordingly. How to do either the same or maybe better with HTML 5 geolocation in Prestashop ? Thx
Krystian Podemski
@kpodemski
why am i seeing here guys from competition complaining at PrestaShop? what's the point of this?
Krystian Podemski
@kpodemski
you guys started a new project, a project which supposed to be better, it's not better at this moment and instead of focusing on improvemets you guys are here complaining at PrestaShop
it's not normal imho
you see, you've started a new project with one major change - urls - cause dozen of issues for people, typos in code, problems with not refreshing urls etc. etc. this is how it is, you release a new feature and there are bugs
so, "What's up with all the permission thingies in 1.7?", change to "What's up with all these issues related to new URL mechanism in TB?"
same
i understand if someone complain and try to change things, complaining just for complaining is not an answer
Krystian Podemski
@kpodemski

been reading lots of dev rants lately

yeah, just like in magento, open cart and woocommerce communities

noted @kpodemski
I can tell you what I feel gives me the right to bitch. Even though I am working on a competing project I do have one of the largest prestashop based companies in the world, so I am very much still active on the prestashop front.

Is 1.7 going to eventually replace the Context object and replace it with a service container? Are hooks being removed to be replaced with event listeners?
Krystian Podemski
@kpodemski
@TechhDan for sure not replace, but i've heard plans about having Service Container imlpemented
unfortunately never heard back about this idea for months now
TechhDan
@TechhDan
@kpodemski same, heard it when symfony was proposed but haven't seen anything in regards in a while. I'm sure they're working on something
123monsite-regis
@123monsite-regis
for me, it more 1.8
( replacing hook by events )
123monsite-regis
@123monsite-regis
context :) long story, a service will be better
as a context service could be initialised on the very first time of the app construction
