<DrunkMoon> the items in the player.inventory got moved to their respective positions as in the crafting table
<DrunkMoon> Btw it doesn’t send the confirmation packets for actions right?
rom1504bot
@rom1504bot
<DrunkMoon> the inventory management is quite a mess rn
rom1504bot
@rom1504bot
<nickelpro> Lol using flying squid
<nickelpro> :salutcat:

<paradise> how would I be able to retrieve an entity ID after spawning it? js const spawnedEntity = serv.spawnObject(entity.id, serv.getPlayer('user').world, serv.getPlayer('user').position, { velocity: new Vec3((Math.random() - 0.5) * 10, Math.random() * 10 + 10, (Math.random() - 0.5) * 10) }); console.log(spawnedEntity); returns undefined

@rom1504bot
<DrunkMoon> what's the best way to smooth the edges
<mat> calculating the biome per-block instead of per-chunk
rom1504bot
@rom1504bot
<DrunkMoon> right
rom1504bot
@rom1504bot
<nikku> looks like you need some anti-aliasing @DrunkMoon :umad:

<Juaan> Hey! I was going to work on 1.16.2+ support and it seems there's already a PR that implemented the login packet changes. Why wasn't it merged? PrismarineJS/flying-squid#518

<Vakore> I'm not sure if this is a flying squid thing, a mineflayer thing, or a prismarine viewer thing, but when I connect my bot to flying squid, it falls off when it see runs out of the chunks I can see with flying squid. I'm trying to dev a bot while at school which is why I seek flying squid.
<Vakore> Do I need to code in chunk gen?
rom1504bot
@rom1504bot
<Ic3Tank> That might be because it chunk did not load. When I was testing flying squid chunk loading was slow and only started to actually load chunks after 10-20 seconds after the bot joined the flying squid server. Try waiting a while and then move the bot.
rom1504bot
@rom1504bot
<Vakore> Ok, thanks

<Darvin> Hi
<Darvin> Are there world generators, where the world looks 100% like vanilla mc?
rom1504bot
@rom1504bot
<ghqst> no
<ghqst> at least i dont think so
<ghqst> if you want something like that but with nodejs plugins I suggest that you use paper + https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/velt.90079/
rom1504bot
@rom1504bot
<Karang> https://github.com/PrismarineJS/prismarine-rng aim at that but only generates the biome map for now, next step is adding terrain generation
rom1504bot
@rom1504bot
<extremeheat> I believe there’s also a project in C that can do terrain generation, maybe possible to reuse that with wasm if it’s maintained
<extremeheat> Ah nevermind it’s just biomes
rom1504bot
@rom1504bot
rom1504bot
@rom1504bot
<Darvin> Thank you all!
rom1504bot
@rom1504bot
<Darvin> Have anyone tested performance and server usage?
<Darvin> Or are there any recommendations ?
rom1504bot
@rom1504bot
<DrunkMoon> OH
<DrunkMoon> Interesting
<DrunkMoon> But would there be any copyright complications?
rom1504bot
@rom1504bot
<Ic3Tank> The algorithm is to generic to be copyrighted the only thing you could try to copyright is code implementation.
rom1504bot
@rom1504bot
<DrunkMoon> Right
rom1504bot
@rom1504bot
<Darvin> Did anyone tried to Host on Glitch for Testing?
rom1504bot
@rom1504bot
<ghqst> would recommend replit instead
rom1504bot
@rom1504bot
<Darvin> thx i check it out
<Darvin> Does anyone else have chunk loading issues on 16.1 (Localhost, 8gb ram)
<Darvin> It seems at some points some chunks dont want to load
<Darvin> and some immediatly disapearing
<Darvin> I have like a black hole on my test server
rom1504bot
@rom1504bot
<Darvin> I run flying-squid 1.14.0
<Darvin> And node 14
<Darvin> On the official test server i saw the same problems
rom1504bot
@rom1504bot
<DrunkMoon> Yes it does that sometimes
rom1504bot
@rom1504bot
<Darvin> Is the Goal of developimg flying squid to have normal Gameservers Like spigot, Papier,... In the Future?
Or is It Just made for Testing thinks, Like minerflayer Bots?
