@rom1504
yeah something like that
mhsjlw
@mhsjlw
@rom1504 i just got an email from github
telling me that you i should be using a CNAME
Romain Beaumont
@rom1504
github answer to emails ?!
anyway okay, that's what we're doing now
they should update their guides
mhsjlw
@mhsjlw
ok cool
yeah they really should

@mhsjlw
hello
Dennis
@TheAlan404
anyone here?
Dennis
@TheAlan404
im making a parser for .nbs files because i couldnt find one online
i figured protodef would make this easier but idk how to really use it
my question is how can i have some sort of array that has a determined length or something
https://opennbs.org/nbs - Part 1 - Vanilla instrument count is basically the count of how many 'Part 2's are present
Romain Beaumont
@rom1504
Array type in protodef
Did you read the doc yet ?
Dennis
@TheAlan404
i did... its not that 'begginner friendly' imo though
Dennis
@TheAlan404
what must i put into 'count'??
Dennis
@TheAlan404
ReferenceError: Read error for undefined : $nbs_header is not defined
im getting this though..
Dennis
@TheAlan404
tried using the count structure, i dont get any of this...
You can do like the example
countType
Dennis
@TheAlan404
but... it doesnt have a prefix..?
Romain Beaumont
@rom1504
Yes it does
That's what countType is
Dennis
@TheAlan404
i mean the list of noteblocks does not have a prefix...
my head hurts
Romain Beaumont
@rom1504
Not sure what you mean
Where is the counter ?
If it's in another field much much higher you can use count yes
Count property not type
"count": "myOtherField"
Dennis
@TheAlan404
that eval()'s it though...? is that a bug?
Romain Beaumont
@rom1504
What is ?
I didn't understand your question
Dennis
@TheAlan404
compiler evaluates the count
eval("myOtherField") and then ReferrenceError
Romain Beaumont
@rom1504
@TheAlan404 still don't understand what you mean. Can you share your code and precise error ?
wait no i dont think they store the noteblock count at Vanilla instrument count?? wh
Dennis
@TheAlan404
how to manually read / read from binary data without a protocol structure
Romain Beaumont
@rom1504
What do you mean exactly ?
What's a "protocol structure"
Binary data in computer engineering almost always has some kind of schema
I can't think of an example where that's not the case
Pure binary noise maybe
Dennis
@TheAlan404
okay, i used another package to do the job (bytebuffer), basically i needed a while(true) loop that loops until a thing is 0
