@NghiaTranUIT
thanks
they both return "169.254.100.79", "fe80::149d:ede:c70c:ae38%en7", "192.168.1.103"
micmar
@micmar
"169.254.100.79", -> wrong but suggested from helper
"192.168.1.103", -> correct
Nghia Tran
@NghiaTranUIT

I have a question about your android. After you changes the Proxy. Are you able to connect the Internet, like visit Google.com?
micmar
@micmar
I am still playing with it.
I can keep the Wifi app (and go to google etc) only until the moment I set the manual proxy and addresses.
Then it disconnects
not sure if it works
The Troubleshooting section

WAIT:
So what I did was to reset, restart everything... (including the dishwasher, you never know...) and then doing things in steps.
First register to the network, without doing the proxy setup.
Do some traffic. (As it appears is described in your link).
Then I setup the proxy parameters.
It disconnected Wifi.
I paused Proxyman...
Wifi reattached and went on
Weird but far better than before.
I can now enable VPN and achieve company's network. So I am glad about it.

@NghiaTranUIT
thanks for the detailed report
I will check it later on my android at home

hey @micmar, sorry for the delay, but this bug is fixed with this beta build: https://proxyman.s3.us-east-2.amazonaws.com/beta/Proxyman_2.0.1_Fix_IP_Address.dmg
I gonna release on this weekend ๐Ÿ‘
micmar
@micmar
BRILLIANT, thank you so much!
I'm going to try it asap.

@NghiaTranUIT
I means the fix for the IP address
but, itโ€™s worth to try for the Android issue, since the latest build 2.0.1, we refactor the Core with Swift NIO

I have followed all the steps but cannot open http://proxy.man/ssl on my iOS device at all
I have rebooted my mac, iPhone
changed my wifi
but nothing seems to be working
and same steps followed on my friend's mac machine and it worked like charm
what could be the issue?
my firewall is also off
How can I find out what service is blocking the device?

hi @SaxenaSamir_twitter, I just help another user, who encountered the same issue like you
it turns out that the port 9090 is locked by security team
he just ask the security guys to open it, and it works
Additionally, you can try to forget the network on iPhone and try again

Hi @NghiaTranUIT Thanks for getting back. Trust me, with both Charles and Proxyman, I did all possible ways what you suggested and much beyond that and it did not work, and then after struggling with this issue for nearly 3 days, I figured out it was Endpoint Security Checkpoint VPN. This culprit blocked all incoming connections by creating itโ€™s own firewall as cpfw.kext. Even removing Endpoint Security Checkpoint VPN completely did not work and I literally started pulling my hair out until I deleted this 'kext' file. So please bookmark this as you might wanna see this coming from folks. It's Endpoint Security Checkpoint version VPN E82.00 with MacOS Catalina 10.15.5.

Is there an existing method for persisting specific traffic to file on a continuous basis?
I want to have traffic to and from specific endpoints go into a specific file, then be able to open that file later and add to it further.
I donโ€™t think that is covered by existing issues.
But Iโ€™m not sure.
Nghia Tran
@NghiaTranUIT
you do achive it by pining the endpoint to the left Panel (Right-click on Domain -> Pin). Then all traffic will appear on this node -> You can export it (Right Click -> Export -> Proxyman Session or HAR). Then you can use it later, by dragging the file to Proxyman -> All old traffic will be persistented
If you like to save entire Session, you can do it do, by going File Menu -> Save Session

Hi! Love Proxyman. Just a tiny thing, in SetApp the description says "Identify bags on Mac" and I wonder if that's a typo and should say "identify bugs"? https://setapp.com/apps/proxyman
Edward Loveall
@edwardloveall
it also says middleMan and I think the second m is meant to be lowercase
sorry if this is totally out of line or the wrong place
Nghia Tran
@NghiaTranUIT
Hi @edwardloveall. Thanks for that. I will email Setapp team to update the content properly ๐Ÿ˜
