@LittleLightCz no, in general your target DBAL (db abstraction layer aka "querying library") should emit the target observables for you.

The problem with JDBC in particular is that it's blocking synchronous...
So, there is no point in implementing an Observable wrapper over any existing JDBC-based ORM or DBAL - it wouldn't make any performance impact.
I've written async PostgreSQL / MySQL RxScala based drivers before, and now want to create an Observable SQL querying API after RxJava2 stable release and respective RxScala wrapper.
