Heather Hinz
@hthrhinz_twitter
Still seems to be having issues connecting to pump
jroth-haj
@jroth-haj
@hthrhinz_twitter you must search again If you have all energy davon options diabled. Try to go back to Android 9. Or get an other phone. What phone ist it? Maybe there are users with the same phone who can help you.
Heather Hinz
@hthrhinz_twitter
Ok, have checked all of that. Samsung Galaxy S9
Andy Rozman
@andyrozman
@hthrhinz_twitter Could it be problem with RL? Is this new RL or have you used it before (with Loop for ecxample)?
Heather Hinz
@hthrhinz_twitter
I'm a new looper, so perhaps? Located in Canada so it took a bit to get here. Last night it lost connection with my pump twice. It did reset after a wake up and tune up. Just frustrating because I don't know if this is something I have to deal with or I have a fixable tech issue. And I'm losing sleep!
@andyrozman
Andy Rozman
@andyrozman
If it works correctly durring day, then RL would not be a problem. Where is your phone and RL located durring your sleep... Maybe MDT users here can give you some pointers... Could you try with another phone just to see if that us the issue? And try to seee if you have any software that might be "watch doging the BT". I know that Xdrip for example has code inside that would restart BT if it looses connection, especilly on Samsungs...
Andy Rozman
@andyrozman
@/all Does anybody here still have their MDT test setup laying around? We are doing some refactoring in rileylink framework and we would like to make sure that everything still works afterwards (for both omnipod and mdt)... I am testing it with my setup, but if someone else could also run some tests I would be very thankful. The branch that you would need to test would be: https://github.com/AAPS-Omnipod/AndroidAPS/tree/omnipod_eros_dev_omnipod_module . We will probably do PR soon, so it would be nice if nothing gets broken with that...
jroth-haj
@jroth-haj
@andyrozman on what ist it based? RC3?
What kind of refactoring are you doing? Only connection or will MDT history reading also bei affected?
Raymond Richmond
@PedanticAvenger
Ok I've got an issue with an NA medtronic pump that presents in RC2 and RC3 and I'm not certain if it's in the code, or the pump. I don't think it's in the RL due to the behavior (but that is guessing) and I want to run it past @andyrozman and folks here before I open an issue.
Description: Today I started having pump connection issues, (@hthrhinz_twitter, similar to yours?) where if I reboot the phone I MIGHT get a reconnnect to the pump but when I watch close what generally happens is that the connection begins, and data begins to flow as per a normal connection to the pump. But in the middle of the transfer (It seems to be always at the "Get Basal Profile" point of the session but that is anecdotal) it then triggers a "Tuning up RileyLink and Pump" which eventually fails and leaves me with "Problem connecting to Pump".
All devices have been fully power cycled during troubleshooting to no effect.
Heather Hinz
@hthrhinz_twitter
Yup sounds very similar to mine @PedanticAvenger . It seems to just do this periodically and then just randomly fixes itself? Like after multiple restarts etc. Also I lose contact with RL when I'm sleeping. Usually around 4am. RL and phone are right beside me on nightstand.
Andy Rozman
@andyrozman
@jroth-haj Yes. Its based on dev from few days ago.
Raymond Richmond
@PedanticAvenger
Followup: The issue actually DOES seem to be RL related. Swapped RL units out and life returned to normal so my original RL has been turned off, battery unplugged and has been put in the time-out box for a couple days to let it sit for a bit. Lets see if it was a transient issue or if something is going bad with the unit.
Really weird that it would flip out mid data-transfer.
jroth-haj
@jroth-haj
@andyrozman today so far no connection
problems. MDT 722, Pixel 3 running Android 10
bartsopers
@bartsopers
@/all the branch @andyrozman mentioned has been changed to https://github.com/AAPS-Omnipod/AndroidAPS/tree/omnipod_eros_dev. It also had some updates. It would be great if someone wants to help us by testing if the communication with the RileyLink still works, and the information on the RileyLink info screen is still correct.
Bernhard Klein
@Volberger
@andyrozman I use ww mdt 712, AAPS 2.7.0 RC4 with RL and Motorola G5plus.
@andyrozman My NSClient shows me "Status: not allowed" and a queue with several hundred entries when I am connected to WiFi at home. Only after I have switched WiFi Off so that I have a mobile connection, NsClient switches to "Status: athentificated (RWT)" and begins to empty the queue.
I've known this behavior for a long time. At times everything was okay (2.3; 2.4 ???) The problem is again present in all RCs from 2.7.0. At Rc1 I created an issue. But I guess I didn't provide the correct information. Is the problem just a Motorola G5plus problem or of greater concern? What information from my side could be helpful?
Milos Kozak
@MilosKozak
You have wrong SSID specified
Bernhard Klein
@Volberger
I think the way I specigied SSID is correct (Screenshot). I had unchanged SSID settings for years: "SSID1"; "SSID2". You said remove the quotes. What i did No improvement in behavior when establishing a connection. I tried to see if it works if only one WLAN is registered. Same result. NSCL with SSID = not allowed. But immediate connection when WLAN is switched off and the mobile network is activated.
jroth-haj
@jroth-haj
@Volberger please check nslookup to the NS host. Eg: nslookup myhost.ns.10be.de
I know from some users having name resolution problems in the home WiFi
jroth-haj
@jroth-haj
@MilosKozak are there any changes in http / https in the NS client?
Bernhard Klein
@Volberger
@jroth-haj Yes, i am on 10be.de. But i am not an expert. Tell me what is "nslookup" and where can i find it. Btw i discussed it already with Martin some month ago.
Andy Rozman
@andyrozman
@Volberger Its better to ask in main room, for problems that are not Medtronic driver specific... Actually you should ask for MDT problems also there... MDT has been out for over a year, so we might close this room in near future...
jroth-haj
@jroth-haj
@Volberger die you try to remove the SSID? Did you check that there ist no space an the end?
Bernhard Klein
@Volberger
@jroth-haj Yes, I have checked that several times and colleagues from my looper group here in Cologne have also checked my settings. Everything is okay. This is the reason why I ask so insistently whether the problem isn't buried somewhere in the code. However, the problem only seems to exist with me, which is why I also wondered if it could be a pure Motorola problem (Moto G5plus Android 8.1.0)
Elye Mittelman
@ElyeM
@andyrozman still need someone to test the omnipod dev branch?
Andy Rozman
@andyrozman
i think they merged everything back to Milos's dev so you could just test that...

@M1063773
Hi loopers. I am having massive issues connecting my Medtronic 722 pump to AAPS. I downloaded it about a week ago and it stayed connected for about 2 days then connection dropped in the middle of the night about 5 days ago and I have been unable to get it back. I believe it may have initially dropped because of the pump battery but not I cannot reconnect it. I have attempted turning all the things off and on that I have been able to find on the net and I have tried installing AAPS on another device. Still no dice. I am getting a stable connection between RL and phone but the pump is unreachable and error code is tuneupofdevicefailed. Any ideas??
Bernhard Klein
@Volberger
Maybe you turned your remote options off. If so turn it on and fill in an serial number such as 111... or 123... Make sure to have only one remote SN, what you can see in the SN Review.
M1063773
@M1063773
@Volberger yes remote options is definitely on. I have tried to delete the ID numbers, turn it off and turn it back on again. I did add another ID number at one stage just as a wild stab in the dark but have now deleted it.
Andy Rozman
@andyrozman
If you have low battery on pump then Remote is also disabled.
M1063773
@M1063773
Thanks @andyrozman . That makes sense. I have turned it off and on again since the baterry was low (and put new batteries in of course) but it still will not connect.
Andy Rozman
@andyrozman
is anybody here testing RC7? One user reported that his manual bolues don't register as treatment. Has anybody noticed something like that?
ArthurusDent
@ArthurusDent
@andyrozman Not yet.
Raymond Richmond
@PedanticAvenger
I've noticed it every once and a while, it clears itself after it polls the pump history again.
Looks like what happens is that it thinks that the bolus attempt is not delivered to the pump (it gives a not delivered alarm) but in fact it actually was delivered.
I noticed it in RC6 and 5 but was going to see if fixed in 7 and haven't encountered it again yet.
Andy Rozman
@andyrozman
Yeah, it should clear itself out when history is read again (every 5 minutes).
Raymond Richmond
@PedanticAvenger
The first issue is a bit surprising as it is a new behavior I hadn't seen since the 2.6 RCs feels like a timing or loss of an ACK somewhere.
Tore Bjørndalen
@BjoTore_twitter
@andyrozman After testing Omnipod with AAPS I saw that it had a bolus progress bar. Is it possible to get the same for Medtronic( it just disappears when the bolus starts)? Or is it a reason why this is not implemented for Medtronic?
Screenshot_20200916-225054.jpg
Andy Rozman
@andyrozman
No, we can't. In MDT this is fire-and-forget action. You can place the bolus, but you can't stop it, so having progress bar there is useless. And bolus with MDT is veeeeery slow, so you could have blocking message there for few minutes. Only way to cancel running bolus with MDT is to stop the pump and then restart it.
Eric
@ecc1
@andyrozman but you do have a pump status of "bolusing" while it's going on, so you could poll that if desired
Andy Rozman
@andyrozman
No.
Andy Rozman
@andyrozman
Only thing we do is set driver to busy for calculated amount of time, so that no other command is triggered during the bolus
Raymond Richmond
@PedanticAvenger
Could a banner be displayed during this timer like "Bolus delivery timer XX:XX"? Not often that it is in question but could help with the odd troubleshooting moment.
