    Hi @willisfu_twitter . Sorry you are facing this problem. it is purely a login issue.
    Can you please a couple of these below checks to see if it has been setup correctly.
    1. Can you login into SSMS using the newuser login and password (newuser123)
    image.png
    1. Please open the web.config file in the C:\inetpub\wwwroot\RO\Web and search for newuser, you will find the encrypted password below the newuser line. Make a copy of this password
    now go to http://localhost/ro/EncryptPwd.aspx and type in the password for newuser (newuser123) in the Before Encryption: field,
    and click on Encrypt, a encrypted password is shown, please compare this with the password in web.config . It should be the same.
    Please let us know if this does not work as expected . Thank You
    Willis
    @willisfu_twitter
    I can login into SSMS using the newuser login and password (newuser123), but the browser showed the same error page as before after I access http://localhost/ro/EncryptPwd.aspx. The error page is shown below.

    Hi Willis.. now that we now the first part is ok, did you get a chance to do the second one to check if the encrypted password is as expected.
    1. Please open the web.config file in the C:\inetpub\wwwroot\RO\Web and search for newuser, you will find the encrypted password below the newuser line. Make a copy of this password
    now go to http://localhost/ro/EncryptPwd.aspx in the browser and type in the password for newuser which is (newuser123) in the Before Encryption: field,
    and click on Encrypt, a encrypted password is shown, please compare this with the password in web.config . It should be the same. Please change the encrypted password in the web.config file if it is not the same and save it . now try accessing the localhost/ro on your browser
    Willis
    @willisfu_twitter
    The problem I encountered is: when I accessed "http://localhost/ro/EncryptPwd.aspx", the error page was shown as below. No any password or login related field in the error page I can enter.

    Hi Willis. Can you send us the encrypted password that is in the web.config file ? Can you please send it to philemon.selvaraj@robocoder.com
    you can find the current encrypted password 1. Please open the web.config file in the C:\inetpub\wwwroot\RO\Web and search for newuser, you will find the encrypted password below the newuser line. Make a copy of this password
    Rintagi Development Team
    @rintagi-team
    Hi Willis, Would it be possible for you to reinstall RO . You would need to delete the databases created in SSMS and also the RO folder in C:\inetpub\wwwroot\ . we feel this would be a quicker way to solve this issue.
    Willis
    @willisfu_twitter
    Which databases in my screenshot below shall be deleted?

    @rintagi-team
    Hi Willis, you would need to delete the ROCmon,ROCmonD and RODesign
    Willis
    @willisfu_twitter
    Sorry, I am busy recently and update you late. I can’t delete these databases successfully even after searching the Google. I am not familiar with SQL server.

    Hello I am having the same problem as Willis.
    When the RC installer is complete i cannot login to the localhost/ro. I get login failed for newuser
    Rintagi Development Team
    @rintagi-team
    Hello @samhossle , kindly try the below
    Rintagi Development Team
    @rintagi-team
    Please follows the below steps to solve this error.
    The first step is to check if the new user login has been created in SQL Server.

    *Try to login into SQL Server Management Studio(SSMS) under the SQL Authentication
     using the "newuser" and "newuser123".

    *If you are unable to login, you would need to login into SSMS using the windows
     authentication and create a new login called "newuser".

    *Set up the access to the newly created database for "newuser".

    *Logout of SSMS and try logging in again using the newly created login and password.

    * If you are able to successfully open the RC databases you are set and now please
      try accessing localhost/rc.
    If the first step seems fine but you are unable to access the site, then please follow the
    second solution below.
    *During installation, SQL Server Database Engine is set to either Windows
    Authentication mode or SQL Server and Windows Authentication mode.

    * After installation, you can change the authentication mode at any time.

    *We need to use the SQL Server and Windows Authentication mode . Most
     likely during installation of the SQL server only the Windows
     Authentication was selected,instead of the mixed mode.
    You can change this by doing the following steps,
    To change security authentication mode:
    *Login into Sql Server Management Studio using your Windows Authentication login.

    *In SQL Server Management Studio Object Explorer, right-click the server,
     and then click Properties.

    * On the Security page, under Server authentication, select the new server
      authentication mode, and then click OK.

    * In the SQL Server Management Studio dialog box, click OK to acknowledge
      the requirement to restart SQL Server.

    * In Object Explorer, right-click your server, and then click Restart.
      If SQL Server Agent is running, it must also be restarted.

    Hi, i have the same Problem like user Willis had in 2017. During installation i get about 12 to 15 times message saying that something could not be converted. But installation runs successfully.

    When I open URL localhost/ro it says Login Failed for user (MySQLCredentials).
    I can Login to SSMS by using my SQLCredentials correctly.

    Here is the web.config line:

    <add key="DesPassword" value="Xf2lSUcFzM+UtYwcIHsyBw==" />

    Rintagi Development Team
    @rintagi-team
    Hello Peter. Can you kindly check the user mapping for each of created databases for the chosen login ? The login should have db_owner privilege . If it is not please check db_owner and try again.
    Peter Görgens
    @Spezi73_twitter
    All dbs are marked with dbowner privilege. Sql server logs error 18456 with state 8 (password mismatch).
    Rintagi Development Team
    @rintagi-team
    Please check RoDesign Database - > Systems Table and Verify if the password matches the one shown in the web.config file
    Peter Görgens
    @Spezi73_twitter

    The passwords do match exactly.
    Today I installed a test machine:

    • Windows server 2012 64bit with latest updates
    • Access 2013 runtime 64bit
    • SQL Express 2014
    • Visual Studio 2017 Community Edition

    During Rintagi installation I had about 10 errors saying something could not be converted.
    First call of Website http://localhost/ro still gave same error as mentioned in my older posts (login failed for user MySQLCredentials).

    I checked SQL-Table dbo.systems for password match with web.config (correct) and also db-owner role (correct).
    Login to SSMS was okay using user/pass.

    I guess its either a problem with the connection string in web.config or its a problem with password encryption/decryption. On the other hand i don't understand the 10 conversion-errors during installation.

    Update:
    I got Rintagi to run with the following installation method:
    Webserver = Hostname_of_Machine (NOT localhost)
    Client Tier = C:\Rintagi\RO\Web
    Regular Web Service Tier = C:\Rintagi\RO\ROWs
    XLS Import Tier = C:\Rintagi\RO\WsXls
    Rule Tier = C:\Rintagi\RO
    Server Instance = Hostname_of_Machine\SQLEXPRESS

    Then I can Access the Site under http://hostname_of_machine/RO and Login with John Doe.

    Rintagi won't run with these configurations:
    a) When Client Tier, Regular Web Service Tier and XLS Tier point to a directory under C:\inetpub ---> I receive the old errors.
    b) When I use "localhost" instead of the hostname ---> I receive the old errors.

    Now up to the next step:
    I prepared and compiled the development package "Rintagi as Developer" and I get the install.exe and two other files.

    I installed it on the same machine with the XX Namespace and following configuration:
    Webserver = Hostname_of_Machine (NOT localhost)
    Client Tier = C:\Rintagi\XX\Web
    Regular Web Service Tier = C:\Rintagi\XX\XXWs
    XLS Import Tier = C:\Rintagi\XX\WsXls
    Rule Tier = C:\Rintagi\XX
    Server Instance = Hostname_of_Machine\SQLEXPRESS

    When I enter the Site http://hostname/XX I receive the error message: "stored procedure "GetLoginSecure" cannot be found.
    So, what's next?

    Peter Görgens
    @Spezi73_twitter

    I figured it out. The Problem is as follows:
    The new created database xxDesign does not contain the following database objects:

    • functions
    • Views
    • Procedures

    I exported these from the original RODesign Database, changed database names in the objects and imported them into the new xxdesign database. Now I am able to log into the new XX namespace. I will test it out and see whats next.
